All photo's thumbnails in "Camera roll" album turned black after update to 4.1

I restored to backup I created before update, but still same problem.

If i add new photo to that folder, it appears fine and rest stays black!

Anybody got same problem or any suggestion to fix it?

Nah, was just talking about a reset or hard reset. That always resolves that issue for me, or just closing the Photos app and re-launching it.

Mine work fine. However, my recollection was that there was some issues with 4.0 before. You had to resync the photos to get them to show correctly. Have you given that a try yet?

This happened to me when I first got the phone. Have you tried a restore? I had tried everything, forget what the 'final' thing was. In the end, the thumbnail problem went away.

i had this problem and what you do to solve it is to kill the task in multitask. So if you see the black thumbnails, exit the photo app, then kill the photo app and open it again. it should show up as normal after that.

Tried that too, but .....

hmmm thats weird..it worked for me. This occurred to me after I deleted photos from my iPhone and synced. Maybe its a glitch? How long has this been going on?

Exactly after upgrading to 4.1 on iPhone 4

Have u recently deleted any photos that should have been in those spaces?

I had this problem with the black spaces when I deleted photos. I think what I did was go into iTunes under my iPhone settings and then to Photos. Now what I did next I can't exactly remember, but I either re-installed the pics, then deleted them again, or clicked on "Choose Folder" at the top then fixed things that way. This happened a while back and I fixed it rather quickly so I'm a little unsure what I did exactly, but I know it all started from me deleting photos. And the fix came from going into Photos within iTunes and trying to delete and then resync there. Hope this helps out. Later

I had the same thing when I first got my iPhone 4, a respring seemed to fix it for a time before it happened again. Now you mention it thought it has not happened for weeks.

same thing

i have the same problem and none of the above is working. happened after 4.1, after i took a few HDR pics. did the hard reset, tried turning that on and off the HDR, nothing... "events," and "places" work fine, just not "photos."

tech call

just called apple care about it and they said they havent heard anything and sent me an article about dead pixels, haha, even though i spent 5 min telling her over and over what the issue was. she confirmed that she understood the photos were not loading properly and it was a problem with the iOS. wow, anyway she said if the article didnt help, i should call back.

that has happened to me aswell on 4.1 and previous versions. i tried some advice on here before, but still no fix.
