Best buy is having a clearance on Corsair Vengeance 16gb for $102.

Corsair - Vengeance 16GB DDR3 SDRAM Memory Module
Model: CMSX16GX3M2A1600C10 SKU: 5036594
16 GB (2 x 8 GB) - DDR3 SDRAM - 1600 MHz DDR3-1600/PC3-12800 - Non-ECC - Unbuffered - 204-pin SoDIMM

Nice stocking stuffer for everyone who bought a late 2012 refurb.

Thanks for the heads up! Bought one!
It's deals like this that makes $300 upcharge from 4gb to 16gb look absolutely ridiculous on the 2014s - makes iPad flash upgrades look reasonable in price considering Apple pays less for their ram than retail.
However the review below from newegg's site does have me a bit worried

I saw that quote too... but I found more positive reviews about that memory with the late-2012 mac mini, so I think we're good. Mine's going under the tree so if you install yours before Christmas, please post back.

Good advice above. There are so many part numbers for what looks like essential the same Crucial RAM that it confuses me.

In the case of both of my 2012 Minis I ordered 16GB of the Crucial RAM that said "(Mac)" from B&H. I don't have the P/N with me but they are probably this;

B&H # CR16S12800MK Mfr # CT2K8G3S160BM.

Got home and confirmed the above numbers.

How are you guys buying this? I noticed this deal early this morning and It says "pick up at store only". It won't let you ship it to your house or even to the store for pickup if they don't carry it.

None of the ~15 stores in a 100 mile radius from me have it and I've searched more than a dozen zipcodes spanning the country and no one has it in stock

I had it shipped to my house. I don't remember any problem with shipping to my house other than playing "where's the submit button now?" on BB's ordering page.

It's shipping rather fast too; I'm getting mine Monday.

*** UPDATE ***
I just tried to order again and I see what you mean. It looks like they sold out online and are only offering the memory at stores with remaining inventory.

It was a clearance sale.

I'd considered the deal too for my 2012 refurb but was told by Corsair that RAM won't work with the 2012 model - I read the first comment on Newegg's product comments (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233265) saying as much, which led me to reach out to them.

This not-on-sale Corsair kit is what Corsair recommended to me: http://www.corsair.com/en-us/corsai...el-ddr3-sodimm-memory-kit-cmsa16gx3m2a1600c11

I guess I'll find out. I mean Corsair should know their own product, but Amazon had plenty of happy 2012 Mac Mini (and other Macs that use 1.35v memory) reviewers of this memory.

I'll report on my experience.

Damn it I missed on the deal!

EDIT: It is now available for shipping. Just got my order. thanx OP.

I'm still baffled here. I've checked this on and off since yesterday morning... nothing but "ship to store only". Are you guys doing something special to order this?

How did you get it to not default to "pickup at store"?

The second time I went to the store and started the checkout there was a button to the right of the "store pickup" button for "ship" (words to that general effect). Clicked "ship" and it went right ahead. It actually wouldn't have been all that obvious if you didn't look twice.

Interesting, this is a good deal. I just ordered 8gb from OWC for the same price. I guess if Corsair works well I will just return it to OWC and get it the BB deal. I should received my RAM by week's end.
I'll look forward to hear reviews using it on the 2012 Mini.

Finally got it ordered.:D I'm guessing whats happened is it's sold out online but a few orders get canceled for whatever reason so inventory keeps popping up sporadically. If you want to get in on it, I'd check early in the morning.

To anyone worried about using this in a mini, I'm 99% sure it will work fine. This isn't DDR3L but the mini doesn't appear to require that. It's the same CAS latency as their "apple certified" ram. I'm buying it for my 2013 imac but I'm sure it will be fine for mini's. The few people that had problems with it simply seem like that had a bad stick.

Memory's in. Boots just fine. If this memory goes south, I'll report back.

I haven't tried it but this RAM has different latency and different voltage when compared to the RAM recommended by OWC for the 2012.
The specs also say that it's compatible with 2nd gen i5/i7 processors and the 2012 uses 3rd gen.
If people are reporting problems I'd say that they're not just flukes -- this RAM is genuinely different than other known-compatible RAM modules.

I've had it for close to 2 years on my 2012 quad core. Absolutely no issues. Runs at specified latency and frequency recommended for Mac mini. Not sure about voltage, but that doesn't matter much anyway.

Second this. Great RAM. Used 32GB of it on my 27" 2012 iMac, and just transplanted it a couple of months ago to my new 27" 2014 5K iMac without any issue.
