i would give you the files if i ever thought, even for a moment, that you would be able to do it.

This thread is a huge waste of time. You're not going to enable HDR if you can't even manage getting the system files without posting in the MR iphone hacks section.

Sounds like he has a 3GS, so how would you suggest him getting the files? There is evidence that HDR would work on a 3GS, so why not give him the files to see if it can be done?

no one will give me the files, so i started to mod the iPhone 3GS to record 720P and it's working, but laggin and no playback on the iphone right now

you can see the prove here

I'm actually thinking that one can enable 720 recording on the 3Gs. I was looking at some of the files and think it's possible. I'd love to help you find out how to enable it. As per HDR, I think only the iPhone 4 has the proper files, the iPod Touch 4 lacks the proper files.

OP, if you are willing to prove it, post a 720 video taken with the 3Gs of it in a mirror. Then upload it to either here or YouTube. Also the files you modded would enable others to help with your tweak.

I would think it could work. The 3G(s) has a 3.2MP camera so it should work.

I also remember reading the 3Gs does have the hardware for 720 recording. And if you think about it, the original iPhone's camera was capable of HD recording. iPod Touch 4 is 0.7Mp and the iPhone 2G is 2Mp.

Yes it has a 2mp camera but, the shutter speed and processing power can be problems.

I said the camera, not the iPhone itself. All the shutter needs is 30fps, I've hit that on my old 2G in the native camera app.

It's kind of funny that a guy named Tempus Fugit is trolling. You'd think he'd have something better to do with his tempus.

I'm also interested in seeing this work, and I'm more than willing to have to restore my phone if something breaks.

Can someone with a 4 just grab these two folders and throw em in a zip file for this guy? Sidewinder I'm looking at you big guy.

If he were as talented as he claims, he could just download the firmware and decrypt the ramdisk using the decryption keys posted at TheiPhoneWiki. I'm no genius, but that's what I did when I wanted a file from the iPhone 4.
