Sublime Lock HD WinterBoard Theme
By Andy9l

Official Theme Webpage

Sublime Lock HD is now available for download directly via Cydia!
No need to add another source, simply search Cydia for 'Sublime Lock HD' and install the theme.
A dependancy for file:// for Safari has been added, but you will likely also want to install 'Clock Hide' to remove the iPhone's default lock-clock.

Description:

A highly optimised, customisable, retina-ready lockscreen which displays the time, date, weather and latest tweet! Customise your lockscreen via Safari without the need to re-spring; so many options to choose from (see below)! Advanced caching system prevents re-fetching of data upon re-locking (which most lockscreens fail to do) - potentially saving MB's of data per month!

Donations hugely appreciated:

I have been suggested to add this by friends and members of this forum.

Highly Customisable via Safari - no re-springs!
  • Choose from six(!) ready-built themes or use your own wallpaper (light or dark)!
  • Turn weather on/off
  • Change your location for weather details
  • Change the temperature unit
  • Change the update interval for weather
  • TWITTER INTEGRATION!
  • Follow anyone you choose from Twitter - right on your lockscreen!
  • Turn Twitter on/off
  • Change update interval for latest Tweet

Safari URL for Setup/Config:

file:///Library/Themes/SublimeLockHD.theme/setup.html

As always please feel free to use my work in any of your own themes. Enjoy!

I tried this yesterday and for some reason the weather would NOT work. No matter what I put in the Yahoo input, either my zipcode or the 85769486 digit for my city, it would not work. And it would not display F either, just C... But it's nice looking though.:)

That digit is not a valid Yahoo! Weather Code. Even Yahoo! Doesn't recognise it. That may be the problem.

I know that, I was just being sarcastic, making fun of Yahoo weather cuz they can't use the actual zip code. But I did put in the right one and it just wouldn't work at all. I even tried the zip code and it still didn't work.

I can't find it in Cydia. I'm using an iPod touch 2G

EDIT: Just found it, but I really didn't find it earlier on!

What code did you use? It doesn't use zip codes at all, only Yahoo WOEID as it states.

Here's the code for where I live. Newport News, Virginia.

For some reason it works on some other themes.

Works perfectly for me on a fresh install of Sublime Lock. I suggest going to Settings -> Safari -> Databases -> Delete SublimeLockHD. Re-spring.

@LEXS what twitter username are you trying to use? :)

@LEXS what twitter username are you trying to use? :)

My twitter user name is LEXS1411

According to Twitter you have 0 tweets. Private profile perhaps?
Logout of twitter and view this page: http://twitter.com/#!/LEXS1411

It's empty, therefore there's nothing for my theme to fetch!

At the moment it shows the latest tweet from the user you specify, it doesn't work off who you're following (yet).

Thanks for the help Andy. I just donated 8 US to you via paypal. I really like your two themes that I can actually get to work. :D

However, this one simply will not change for me at all. It's still reverting to your hometown and reading Celsius.

Okay, I'm seeing something strange here. I can use iFile to access the setup.html guide and make changes and then save it. I respring and the location is still not set right. However, if I use iFile and go back into the theme and open up the lockscreen.html image, the weather is correct as well as twitter being correct there, as well.

Don't edit any files directly!!
Since you've edited a file, it's essential you reinstall.

Once done, visit the setup URL in SAFARI!

Ah, that's strange. iFile gives you the option to open the setup.html in a web viewer which is exactly like what it looks like if you do it in Safari.

Okay, let me try this again. Thanks.

Okay, got it Andy. Thanks for the help. I wasn't aware that iFile did that...

Neither was I - I thought you had edited the file when you mentioned iFile. I have never used it so would suggest, to everyone, avoid using it to change the setup.

You might want to put that in the download instructions on your package in Cydia. It doesn't really make any sense at all that it wouldn't work. If you're opening an html in a web viewer vs opening it up in Safari, is there much of a difference?

have you thought about making a version that uses the facebook notifications or news feed RSS feeds instead of twitter?

It does say Safari in the instructions :)
The reason for the error is; WinterBoard runs Safari to run HTML backgrounds. The way SublimeLockHD, and a couple of other (more advanced) lockscreens such as the stunning SlantedLock work, is by setting up and manipulating a local database in Safari. If you're using iFile to change the database, you're simple changing the database for iFile - not Safari - therefore no changes appear to have been made when Safari runs the background as your wallpaper.

Complicated, but it does make sense if you read it slowly ;)

Watch out for those in upcoming updates :)
