heyy everyone. i was wondering if anyone had the original handy light app that allows you to tether. if you do please send me a private message. i just got my iphone 4 and am trying to tether it to my new macbook air.

Thank you

The only way I can think of to get it is to get a cracked version but we can't help with that (unlike google).

Why not just buy tetherme for $2 and tether with Bluetooth to the air? Trust me it's much less cumbersome than configuring handylight and socks5 proxy settings every time you want to tether. Also, you can do whatever you like on the phone while it's tethering with tetherme, unlike handylight which required the screen on and the app in the foreground.

If you have an iPhone and a new MacBook air I know you can afford any of cydia's tethering options.

I was also wondering this and don't want to mess with cracked apps and ****. But when I goto apps store on my moms 3gs and type in tetherme nothing shows up.

TetherMe is a jailbreak tweak found on Cydia. Unless you go the official tethering route through AT&T, you have to jailbreak to get any kind of tethering (including loading a cracked version of HandyLight).

And if you're going to JB for tethering, there are WAY better solutions than HandyLight. That method works, but it's a royal PITA to configure compared to TetherMe, MyWi, or PDAnet.

I have the original handy light. But it would be of no use to you without me also giving you my apple ID and password.

@nebo1ss
Can I please have a copy of the original? I got ripped of by the $1.99 one
I don't want your apple ID and password ...this is driving me nuts
Can I please have that copy ? My user name is my gmail adress you can just email me a copy
Thank you!

The whole point is the handy light app
TetherMe is something all together different .
I just want a copy of the original(not cracked)
So bad! I want to see it!!!! The good thing is that apple claimed it to be an illegal app- a Trojan ..... So no app piracy laws there to breake
I don't care about tethering as much as the point of getting this supposed app!
Every copy I have seen has been fake!
I am on a mission LOL

TetherMe is $5 (unless they suddenly reduced the price)

The price was different in 2010 when that post was made.

I asked for a copy of the original handylight.ipa that's It!
Not getting into syncing argument LOL

Unless you're going to crack it yourself, it's of no use to you. I believe most cracking techniques require the app to be run on the device at least once. You would not be able to do this because you lack the proper Apple ID and password to even launch the binary.

Thread starter does not understand the behaviors of the Apple systems.

OMG
I feel like crying .... All I asked was for a real copy of the handylight.ipa
I keep hearing about syncing it ....
My user name is also my gmail address all I asked was for someone that has the real handy light app to email me a copy .... If they could be so kind

The thread starter hasn't been active since October of 2011. The thread reviver does not understand. But I do agree that the starter doesn't seem up understand it either.

What would you do to it if you got it? I myself haven't said a thing about syncing it to anything.

But it would be no use to you. I could just as easily create my own imitation of it from a App Store app from 2009 and present it to you as the original Handylight and you wouldn't know the difference because they'd both be useless to you.

Why is it so difficult for some one to be a nice person and email me a copy of the real handylight.ipa ?
I don't get it... All I get is how I am not going to be able to use it:(

They not be found ! All the ounces are fakes
They do not even pass a hash test they were altered! Cracked what ever!
Not real!
I am getting beat so bad but no help with a copy:(
The app was only up for less than an hour supposedly
So not to many people had the real one to upload to begin with

LOL
I asked for a copy of the original handylight.ipa and I get this?
Do you really think apple would let that be advertised right on there that it is a hidden tethering app inside ?
I doubt it but I got it LOL
I will upload pics in a bit ....

You asked for a useless bunch of code that can't be used by you for anything other than taking up a few megabytes of hard drive space. And instead you got something that you can actually use.

How do you think handylight got into the app store? Same way.
I think you've asked for handylight enough times. If someone has it they will share it with you so stop trolling.

First off thank you! i do not want to seem ungrateful :)

The whole thing about the handy light was that I wanted to know if it was a bad urban legend or real !!!!!
NicK Lee seems to not have a copy I offered him so much money for it
