Why? You won't be able to do squat with it. You'd be better off looking at any old IPA that you happen to download from the App Store. There isn't anything you can gain, learn, or use from the IPA. There's some hidden reason why you want it.
Handylight is not the first tethering app to make it into the App Store. If I recall correctly, it is the third one. With NetShare being the first and the other being some flower one whose name I can't recall.

Do you really think apple would let that be advertised right on there that it is a hidden tethering app inside ?

Well it does work as advertised.
As I type this I have my iMac tethered to my iPhone4
(By the way, I also have iTether which Apple also yanked from the AppStore very quickly)

Handylight was/is real. Yes it can be used with Windows XP. But you, yourself would not be able to use it because you did not buy/download it with your Apple ID. Thus, it is worthless to you.
handy light and discorecorder work the same way, so you can use it with a PC, it's just that specific click-by-click instructions aren't provided like they are for a mac. I use a mac but I remember using handy light with a PC and I have no doubt you can use discorecorder with windows xp or whatever.Well with the handy light you can tether to a PC

i'm no expert but i'm pretty sure it uses the IP address of the adhoc network you create so I don't think that will be subject to any IP address changes your network makes. i could be wrong on that...

I don't know how to crate an adhok network ... It seemed that with handylight
Your connection was recognized like when I conect my iPhone with 3G it just connects! Than I have a wire less conection to edit and an adhok conection to .
I live in a wifi hot spot ... So if I have to go out and by a wireless USB adapter that I am connected to that same wifi hot spot .... So what is the point?
All tuts tell me to click the wireless internet connection
I don't have one ... My computer is not connected
It is almost 2am here ....

I tried cheating and downloading a driver from Trendnet but it looks like that won't do

Well that is what I thought ...my PC at home has no conection at all, I can plug my cable and tether my 3G no problem and have Internet.
I thought a tethering app allows you to tether your wifi instead of your data but still using your phone as the router like with 3G

This app was removed .... I wonder if all those rumors about apple being able to zap your apps remotely are true ? My app froze last night could not open it
I am going to buy a wirless card today ...
I hope it still works
Can they zap your apps remotely? Is lt like Microsoft real time support were their techs can fix your pc remotely ?

Yeah, it's just like that. Apple employees can mess with your phone right from their Cupertino cubicles. Just hope they don't delete more than just the discorecorder app.
I remember with Handy Light, after it was removed from the app store and stopped functioning, Apple went into my phone and deleted it, as well as some other apps by accident. I lost my angry birds progress!!
Buy TetherMe for $2. Easier and much more simpler than hunting down a cracked app.
I know with a PC you have to enable that option in your conection but if you have have the option to allow Microsoft updates than they can sneak in anyways , also most Antivirus software can pretty much rome as they please !

Any ways when I first downloaded this Recorder app I quickly made a copy in a separate location on a flash drive so I can always add it to my iTunes ... I do not know much about the iPhone .... So I don't know if they patch your operating system so this app won't work or the app it self
