Hey guys,

I'm going from a quad core to a six core cpu (3680 or 90) in a 2010 5.1 Mac Pro. I read most people upgraded the Ram from 1066 to 1333 when doing this - I wonder if it's necessary or if it will run just fine with the old ram chips.

Thanks

As others have said, all fine but just to add, if you are lucky, you might have 1333 ram chips in already.
