I found this tweak somewhere (i'm still hunting the source).

Basically it speeds up apple's animations, giving a seemingly faster device.

I currently have mine set to x 2.0 however you can go up to x10.0.

Here's a youtube video which shows it in action.

This is probably one the best tweaks so far, i'm incredibly impressed! No effect on battery life, makes my heavily jb feel like stock :)

This tweak speeds up the animations in UIKit. Such animations include but are not limited to: App Switcher, Opening Apps, Closing Apps, Switching Apps and much more!

Give it a shot i think you'll be suprised!

EDIT 2:

Holy moly...this tweak is GREAT! Especially for my 3GS, which did have a tiny bit of lag when opening apps or settings. Thanks for the heads-up, OP!

This is a mobile subtrate addon. A very light one at that.
Also as THE dAY has pointed out some apps & games may be affected however this depends on the speed set. Generally speaking though in games it's usually unoticable.

This is impressive, was doubter, but it makes it feel faster, a lot more snap, I'm using it on my IP4 and have a whole lot of tweeks on it.

I can confirm this tweak is awesome. Makes everything much snappier, I currently have mine set to x2.5. I've been using it for 2 days now and have had no problems.

Just installed it, makes the phone feel "faster" I love how sbsettings now instantly slides down.

WOW! nifty little mod here. I tried the 10x speed and the animations on my phone look like they're on crack :D

tried it and it hangs my settings, it just locks up and I have to Remove BG to get in to settings again. Uninstalled

hey all sorry not been very well and forgot to check.
Thanks to jfinn1976 and KentuckyHouse I've added some more info to the OP. I was pretty skeptical at first, and after having a peek in the files decided to try it.
Hope you all enjoy it as much as I do!

Good day! :)

BTW, for anyone that can't find it in Cydia, a quick Google search will turn up the source you need to add.

If you need a little info on it, here's a couple of links:

Yeah I left it at 2.5x too

It's great but it would be nice to choose which animations you could speed up :)

ha, definitely. I fell in love with this tweak but the "wiggle" animation that happens when you hold an icon is a little disturbing.

omg, that...is...disturbing...

EDIT: you know, i may turn this off. seems to make my iphone seem very nervous (and i'm nervous enough as it is!).
think i'm comfortable with the speed my iphone usually runs at...)

I've been waiting for something like this. Awesome!!

Does anyone know what tweak he is using in the video that jumbles the icons as you switch pages?

you're welcome - quite suprised by the 600-odd views, i guess people want to boost their phone... this is a step forward. :D

edit: ^ Must feel like your iphone's had a bit of caffeine eh, BurntReality

OK, I was skeptical, but I'll try anything that doesn't require Drainerboard...oops I mean WinterBoard.

This tweak is great. 1.6 seems sufficient for me, anything higher seems too fast and annoying to the eyes.

So far so good. Thanks for the heads up, I really like this. Makes you feel like you're saving time with anything you do on your phone.
