I tried searching for an answer on this but couldn't find anything definitive. I have recently started using my Cube with a 1920x1080 60hz monitor. It works great in OS X 10.4 and Classic, but if I try and boot OS 9 it says the resolution is unsupported. I have tried opening Monitor preferences in Classic, choosing 1920x1080 60hz, but again nothing when I boot in OS 9. I used to use a 1280x1024 monitor and could boot both OS's fine. Is what I'm trying to do possible?

What video card is in it?

It may work to take the 'NDRV' from 10.4.x and make an OS 9 driver out of it.

Thanks for the replies so far. I agree the video card is not the best, but it runs OS X 10.4 just fine at 1080p. It also runs OS 9 fine at 1080p if I boot holding shift to disable extensions, see below. But I'm in a bit of a catch 22 as it won't display anything with extensions enabled, and when they are disabled you can't change the monitor settings! 😆

So what else can I try? Somebody on another forum mentioned moving monitor preferences to the desktop and then booting, but I couldn't find a preference called 'Monitors' in the preferences folder, and I expect I then won't be able to change the settings anyway.
