I've got a base Macbook model on default resolution, but I'm getting beachballs occasionally with 1080p video. My 2013 11" air plays with no lag, when video is tested after the Macbook 12 gets beachballs.

Could other users chime in with their results? Make sure it's set to 1080p youtube. Try changing from short, then long videos.

I've been just bouncing around trying 1080p videos to simulate random youtube play. Then trying with the Macbook Air 11 for comparison.

I've got a 1.1 and it works fine, no beachballs for me.

I'm using Safari with a couple of plugins and a dozen tabs.

OK, thanks for the results. My internet connection may be taxed right now. Time to get back to enjoying the videos.

No issues for me either. I was just streaming 1080 video from my MacBook to my TV using Apple TV and it worked just as good as my iMac.
