Picked up this case today and love it. Adds very minimal bulk. Almost feels as if I'm carrying my phone without a case (ie:naked) except the fact that it's a bit more protected.

Here's some quick shots

not bad but looks like it doesn't protect the front very well. Also looks like there might be a flash issue. not sure about that whole naked think either.

Front is sort of a table top design. If I lay it face down on the table the screen doesn't touch the table. As far as the naked part goes it's not like these super super thin hard plastic cases out there but its definitely thinner than having a bumper on.

Looks great, I've seen these a while back and might get one for my 3gs. Just a few quick questions - is the silicone soft like or more rubber like the iskin? also hows the bulk?

On a seperate note can anyone find a picture of a pink one? might get one for my girl.

Thanks, the silicone has a hard grip texture. Not sure how to explain but not tacky or the type of rubber that attracts lint or is bothersome taking it out of your pocket. It's just smooth. The bulk is very very minimal. I enjoy carrying my phone without any case but always scared about scratching the back or dropping it. With this case it offers some protection and fully covers the back which is great. Hope I answered your question.

Yes, there is a bit of a flash issue, and that is being corrected now. Thank you, blkonblk17 for posting this thread. Assuming moderators don't object, Magpul will send a free Field Case for iPhone 3G/3GS or Executive Field Case for iPhone 4 to the first 25 members who reply to this thread. Please send a PM with the following information:

Name
Shipping Address
Case for iPhone 3G/3GS or iPhone 4
Preferred Color (black, flat dark earth (tan), foliage green, OD green, orange, or pink)

I will place the cases on order, and have them shipped once the flash issue has been corrected, and the color is available. blkonblk17, labman, and guccigucci88 each get one of each color case for iPhone 3G/3GS and iPhone 4 just for posting early in this thread. The next 25 members to reply will receive one case of their choosing.

Mods, if this is a problem, please delete.

A bit of background on this project for those who care: Magpul Industries Corp. was founded in 1999 by a former Reconnaissance Marine named Richard Fitzpatrick, who sought to resolve some of the equipment shortcomings he experienced while in the Marine Corps. The company has since become one of the industry leaders in the design and manufacture of weapon parts/accessories for military, law enforcement, and civilian shooters. The bulk of our product line consists of injection molded polymer products, most of which are far more complex than an iPhone case. My personal job is military/international sales & business development.

Two years ago when the company decided to issue iPhones to the staff, we were all frustrated by the poor quality and high price of the case offerings at the major retail outlets, so we decided to make our own. Injection molding is our specialty, so we know what a product is truly worth. Compare, for example, the Magpul PMAG - a 30-round polymer magazine for the AR15/M16. The PMAG consists of a body, floorplate, and snap cover made from a reinforced polymer, a lock plate and follower made from a self-lubricating polymer, and a stainless steel spring. One product consisting of 5 polymer parts and 1 steel part, with an MSRP of $14.95. Oh, and 100% of the design, manufacturing, and assembly is done in the United States.

We know how much injection molded cases cost to make...not much. You will never hear anyone from our company slander another brand for making money - that is capitalism, and good for them - but for those of us know manufacturing, it was insulting to pay $25 - $35 or more for a case that wasn't even worth as much as the packaging it came in. I think many here will understand and appreciate this sentiment. I don't know what the future holds as far as Magpul iPhone or other cases, but value for money is one of our core foundations. Our current cases are designed and manufactured in the U.S.A., and worth every penny of $9.95 compared to most other retail offerings. If you disagree, we will refund your money no questions asked.

This is great! I sent you a pm but it doesn't show up in my sent messages. Please let me know if you didn't get it. I really hope macrumors allows this!

Oh yeah I definitely agree with the prices of cases. I have literally tons of them, many which I paid 20-30 or more for. Definitely not worth it. 10 bucks for the magpul is a steal lol

Got it! As I mentioned, you will receive one of each case color in each model (10 in total) for being one of the very first to reply to this thread. I don't know when the rest of the colors will be available, but they will ship as each one is ready.

I'm up for a case – it looks nice and sleek (very minimalistic). Wondering what the purpose of the small bumps are though. Oh; and how thick is the case?

EDIT: Can't seem to PM you

I'd love to try one of these cases out, that would be great. I'll pm you my info. Thanks a lot!

I am interested

I am definitely interested in trying one of these out, I am wondering if it collects any lint?

Edit: I also can not seem to PM
