Hello,

I am interested in setting up a small home 10GbE network to help link up my 2018 Mac Mini and iMac Pro plus a 10GbE NAS.

I have recently ordered a 10GbE SFP+ switch for this purpose. I was wondering for those with 10GbE networks, what adapter/converters do you use for conversion from 10GbE RJ45 on the Mac Mini/iMac Pro to SFP+?

Thanks!

Don't you just need a 10GBase-T SFP+ module for your switch?

There are also ~$600 10GBase-T 8-port switches from Netgear, Buffalo, TRENDnet, Ubiquiti, D-Link that might be more affordable.

Thanks for the response. I ended up just getting a 10GBaseT switch as you suggested as the SPF+ to 10GBasse-T transceivers were nearly 200 dollars a piece. At that point, it just made sense to invest in a switch.

Thanks for the advice!
