I had a 13" rMBP for about a year and I liked the size but I wanted something even smaller and just a few days ago I sold it and bought an 11" 2015 MBA. Ive gotta say that for me the 11" is the perfect size. The laptop is so small and powerful but the screen is still large enough for me to enjoy using it. Idk if I can go back to using a laptop larger than this in the foreseeable future.

The 11" is pretty great.

I have it and a 15" - both are great, but I think I actually prefer the 11"..

I bought the 11" the first day it went on sale in 2010 and have been using this size since. I immediately knew it was perfect for a portable computer and would never use anything bigger. I've had two 11" MBAs so far and they've been around the world with me for months at a time and have never given me any trouble at all.

For daily use at home I have a Mac Mini with a nice big 27" 2560x1440 monitor which is great but obviously you can't travel with something like that.

I've been thinking about selling the Mini and just plugging the MBA into the monitor and my USB hub with all my peripherals though...

Tell you what, every time I see people lugging those huge laptops and have no shame to even pull it out to look up one single piece of information, I call them Moses and the Ten Commandment Tablet! This is happening Less and less though I admit.

13" air all the way. I originally had the 11" and I absolutely couldn't stand the lack of space for your wrists. It was way too cramped for me. The 13" is perfection. To each their own though.

13.3". That's ultimately what's holding me back from the MBR. That extra 1.3" along with the the additional wrist space. It's pretty crammed in the 12" MBR for my big paws.

I don't prefer a screen size - I prefer the screen to be as big as reasonably possible. But given that the screen imposes constraints on the size of the rest of the machine (given that we don't currently have fold-out or roll-out screens available), 13" is best compromise. With smaller bezels, a 14" display is doable in the footprint of the current MBA and even more useful than 13.3". The 14:10 aspect ratio is one of the best things about macbooks, imo.

12-13 in the size of an 11" body would be perfect. We have that now, but i won't be buying until the price comes down and i can get it even cheaper in the refurb store.

12, 15, and 17 are my preferred sizes. I'm type this from a 14" laptop that looks like it should be a 15", and I can't give up my 17" at work.

13" in a 12" frame is ok, too.

I'd also consider a 15" or 17" MacBook Air.

should make it a poll

I think a 2nd gen rMB with a CPU/GPU equivalent to the 2013 MBA and 14" screen in 13.3" frame would be my next 'main computer' (so long at the CPU can give this speed for prolonged periods). I've got used to 13.3" now and I don't think I could go smaller.

I prefer the 13". The 12" MB actually feels too small to sit on your lap and type for extended periods. If only we could get a rMBA.

I've had laptops for years and never once actually used them on my lap. they've always been desktops, or pillow tops, or anything tops except lap tops. too weird.

i went from 23" desktop to 13" MBA and found it to be just perfect for me. Hasn't once felt limited or cramped.

A month or so ago, my mates 13" 2009 MBP died. I had a 15" MBP and didn't like carrying it around. I was determined to buy an Air and give her my 15" (that came out wrong).

I walked into the Apple store dead set on buying the 13. I thought going down to an 11" from the 15" would be too drastic a change.

Instead, I was wowed by the 11". I played around with the 13 for a few, but compared to the 11" it even seemed gigantic. I bought the 11". I love it. I bring it to work every day in a Tom Bihn Ristretto bag.

Mobility isn't a huge issue for me. I don't travel. I just bring my laptop to work and write on it. However, I'm a model-maker in my leisure time and it's nice to have a small laptop I can keep on my table for reference.

13.3" at native 1280x800 HiDPI is fine for me. I used to have a 15" rMBP and thought of it as a portable desktop. It was eventually replaced by an actual desktop (27" iMac).

12" rMB might work for me as well, but running it at native 1152x720 HiDPI seems a bit cramped so it would have to be run at non-native 1280x800 HiDPI.

14 with no bezels.

Explain what you mean by "no bezels".

I use my MacBook Air sitting on my legs for at least six hours a day. I use it on a counter for about an hour in the morning.

I always prefer 12 as the best screen size about mobility but i m fine with 11 as well

13/14 too big for me
