11/22 Delivery iPhone X

I ordered an iPhone X on Verizon's website and currently have a delivery date of 11/22.

I'm debating whether I should wait in line overnight on Thursday and see if I can score a 256 gb model, then cancel my online order? If I do this, should I wait outside of an Apple Store or a Verizon store? I live in NYC btw.

Apple all the way. Carrier stores are too risky and would have lower stock.
