Would a new 11.6" MacBook Air be 'enough' computer to run a 22" monitor and Autocad for Mac. This would become my primary machine so it would need to work well.

I had a play on a one in an Apple Store and fell in love.

My Dad's office runs AutoCAD on Pentium 4s, I think the MBA will manage just fine.

My advice is to buy it test it for a week and then decide if you want to keep it (you get 14 days to decide if you want to return it without restocking penalty)

It should run but I wouldn't expect miracles.

Lets just say it won't run at all on my 2007 MacBook (its not supported).

Cheers for the HellHammer, I have been on the Autodesk website already. I just wondered if anybody has some real world experience. I need to make sure it's usable (not supported) before I put my money where my mouth is.

Buy MBA, download trial. Evaluate at ten days and return if not liked.
    Cost if not liked: $0
