11.6" vs 13" Display

Is it the 2015 model? I thought that came with 8GB RAM?

Apple made 8gb RAM standard on the base 13" MBA but the base 11" MBA was only 4gb. It was available with 8gb as an option, also with an optional i7 CPU and optional 256gb or 512gb SSD (the full spec model 11" MBA has and i7 CPU, 8gb RAM and 512gb SSD).

Keep checking B&H photography. Until a few days ago they had the 2015 MBA 11" 8GB/512 GB/2.2 GHZ i7 for $999. That's brand new, no tax and free shipping. I just checked today and noticed they were sold out, but more may come in.

I upgraded my 2013 to a 2015 a few weeks ago from the Apple refurb site. I had planned to sell my 2013 on e-Bay, but still can't part with it!

I ordered it last week and received it today. According to the BHPhoto rep, they're not getting any more of the 11's.

Do you use many windows programs? I had the 11" air, and I found that a lot of dialog boxes were too tall for the 11" screen and didn't scale so there were times it was incredibly frustrating. Besides that, not having an SD port may or may not be a deal breaker for you (the 11" doesn't have one). I started out with an 11" and was happy with it, but once I upgraded to the 13" I realized what I was missing.
