Hi folks.

Random question and I’m pretty sure I know the answer...

Wife accidentally updated my iPod to iOS 11.

Was on 10.3.3. Used for music and a few 32 but apps that won’t run on iOS 11.

Is there any hope? I have only ever updated via iCloud, no iTunes backups.

I did try to download the older ipsw file but it is not signed by Apple any more.

Can I use an shbh blob from someone else’s iPod?

Any suggestions would be really appreciated.

Thanks!

Unfortunately, I think that's it. Not possible to go back....ever :(

Nope, the SHSH blobs HAVE to come from the same device you're downgrading and from the OS version you wish to downgrade later back to. In addition the method of doing this ain't for the faint hearted either - even if you have the blobs.

I thought so, just wanted to double check. I have had some experience downgrading other devices in the past, but yeah...this kind of stinks.
