Just got my new ipad. Anytime I play anything over 70% volume wise - the sound distorts almost like the bass is vibrating the ipad itself. And Im hearing that vibration - not the quality sound im expecting.

Anyone with similar experience? Do I just have a bum unit or are everyones new Ipads "vibrating" in this way when any bass plays?

If the right frequency at a high enough volume will cause it to distort.

The speakers are TINY so you can expect super low frequencies at high volume.

My speakers on my 11” are every bit as good as my 10.5 iPad, maybe a bit better.

Maybe look at getting a wireless speaker and bass will be much better.

I had the 10.5. I never heard the audio distorting like this. its as if Im hearing the ipad itself vibrating. and this is just while watching netflix.
