Has anyone got a screenshot comparisons of the same website displayed landscape on 10.5 and 11?

I’m trying to work out of the height is actually smaller on the 11 due to increased status bar size

I don’t think macrumors.com is the best example!

Ignore first part of thread talking about 10.5vs11. Went off topic - useful screenshots for 11vs12.9 2018

I carried a Physical Measuring tape in the Apple Store and Measured, the Height of the 10.5" and the 11" in Landscape Mode and it both came out to be 16 CMS in Height ! If this helps ?

I'm assuming you're talking about the iPad Pro here.

The 11-inch iPad Pro is the first iPad to have an aspect ratio different than 4:3 – less square in this case – so it seems possible that less of the height of a web site is displayed in landscape mode, sure.

If anyone can post screenshots of a website displayed in the 10.5" and the 11" iPad Pro that would help us better understand.

The height of the screen is exact same. It is 16cm. If the 11 has a larger status bar, then yes a webpage in landscape will display a tiny bit less vertically compared to the 10.5

How to interpret this ? :(

The 10.5 is very, very slightly taller (height) when both 10.5 and 11 are held in landscape. So close that no human could tell the difference. 11” is 6.29” screen height and the 10.5” is 6.30” screen height.

Not sure what is causing trouble for interpretation for you? All the objective information is right there.

I went out and bought an 11-inch to compare myself. These are both 2018 pros. 11 inch followed by 12.9

Right and left borders look worst in real life when you add on bezels.

That's not really a fair comparison. Looks like you're using an app that's not optimized for the 11". Not surprising it has large bezels in that case.

I'm not sure what you're trying to show us...

12.9" is bigger than 11." The original discussion was the 10.5" vs the 11". Feels like we're waaaay off topic now...

Yes I have gone a bit off topic haha
I think the original question was answered that 10.5inch v 11inch is negligible.

I have posted these screenshots to help anyone else compare 11 v 12.9 - maybe a mod can create new post.

And I disagree that this comparison is unfair - this is the experience today which people need to be aware of

In each of these pictures, is the top one 11" or the bottom ?
Yes

In landscape mode the 10.5 displays more than the 11. Agree or not. I just came back from an Apple store and it actually displays more with the 10.5.

Yes I believe this isn’t just due to physical size, it’s also due to rounded corner devices have a larger status bar.

I feel completely conned by apple, I sold my 10.5 before purchasing the 11 and this is such an inferior experience.

You are worrying me as I am planning to swap my 10.5 against an 11 tomorrow...

Keep the 10.5” ! Such a waste of money. The only benefit is Face ID.

I took a screenshot on my 11inch and took a photo of a 10.5” in a store - 10.5 displays more content 9AADFDAE-A8FB-4EF9-A0C2-87D7F5A5B95A.png E7DD887C-B885-4AF5-8E5E-B96AE571981D.jpeg
[doublepost=1546791826][/doublepost]I also don’t understand why no reviewer is pointing out that the long edge bezels on 11” are noticeably thicker - everything keeps saying that the bezels are thinner and edge to edge- this simply isn’t true

It's easy for me. 11 inches for movies like Youtube or Netflix and 10.5 / 12.9 inches for websites and especially for older apps whose aspect ratio has not been adjusted.
I generally think the 4:3 aspect ratio better, seems to me while viewing more pleasant.

We need apple to do what they did with 9.7–>10.5 to the 11 inch - make the long edge borders smaller

This is really surprising that safari is not taking advantage of the wider screen to spread the text which would largely compensate the height difference b/w 10.5 and 11. Any clue why?
