iPad Pro 11" iPad Pro (Gen 2) screen cracked. What would you do?

I will be honest I have the exact same iPad as you and if mine broke, I would either do the out of warranty exchange or iPad Air as a replacement. I don’t know that I would purchase an iPad Pro again.
I had a cracked 12.9" iPad Pro screen a couple of years ago. Apple charged me more than $500 for the repair. Unfortunately, leaving it cracked that way would have rendered it pretty much 'not sellable'. When I eventually sold it I get top dollar. As a side-note .. I had broken it in a restaurant that had left an unseen obstacle causing me to trip. Their insurance paid for the repair.

near where i live they quoted 300-350 . for 500 better get a refurb on Apple
Well... I just ordered a 2022 iPad Pro. Mine is a second generation. I could have got a refurb from Apple for $500. For an extra $600 I get the newest version which is faster but not a night and day difference.
Now to figure out what to do with this one. I found it's just over a year old. I don't remember why I had it replaced when I had Applecare. I think there were some dead pixels. As I went through the ordering process, I was offered $112. I'll keep it and use it for anything for that price. I understand the screen is cranked but it's not that bad and still fully functional. I started looking to see how much replacement screens are. Maybe I'll try to replace it myself. From looking into it for an iPhone before, can either use a genuine Apple screen or aftermarket. The aftermarket are sometimes aren't perfect. Maybe I'll go that route.
I checked to see how much I could sell it to Apple and Gazelle for if there was no damage. $330 from Apple and $493 from Gazelle.

I'd keep both - one for home - one for work (or whatever). When I had Apple replace my 12.9 gen 2 display it cost over $500 (insurance picked up the cost - long story). Even though it's a minor crack it's unlikely anyone is going to want to buy it from you even though it works perfectly. Is there someone in the family who would like to have it?
All of my close family members have one. I have a friend who buys most of my used Apple products because she knows I take care of my stuff. This is a very rare time when something is broken. I take my iPad everywhere. It’s always mounted next to me in the car. I’ve thought about making it the designated car iPad but I rather use the better one everywhere. Maybe something for home use? There might be something I’m not thinking of.
