I admit this looks nice. Is there a case out there that's similar but it has handles? so it looks like a nice little briefcase thing. lol. i would get this if they added some handles or something similar.

sfbags.com Hardcase, maybe what your looking for. I have the small cargo with the sleeve. I use the pack and smooch just to take solo by itself. But my workday I travel in the sf cargo with sleeve. I have to keep a lot of work things with me during the day.

I got mine about 3 weeks ago. I received an email that the status changed to ship, a week after ordering it. Then it took a good 10 days from then.

Thanks. Just got confirmation earlier today, so 12 days from order to ship currently (I guess now the message says 10-14, it said 7-9 when I ordered it).

The hardcase costs a lot man. That bag is something I'm looking for but more affordable and somewhat stylish.

Question about the bag: Will it fit other things besides a Macbook Air and the charger? Some notebooks too? If i end up getting this, i might use this as a portfolio and I'll carry it around. it's really stylish. Thanks!

Anyone recently order one ( say over the past couple weeks) and receive a shipping notice? I'm going on 11 days since my order, it said 7-9 days backlog on Etsy.

Mine took quite a while to ship. I ordered it on the 5th, and it shipped on the 23rd February. I think I ordered it right at the time he was experiencing the largest delays.

I got an email from him stating, among other things:

"I am so sorry about that and I really had hard negotiations and talks with my supplier of wool felt. My supplier has some supply difficulties with the anthracite felt. As you maybe know the Merino wool felt comes from down under (Australia) where they had some big natural desasters (the big flood). This supposed to be the reason why the wool felt takes so long to come to Germany. But my supplier told me to be able to deliver mid next week. I will start production hopefully on friday and will produce the whole weekend so I can ship it out on monday or tuesday. "

So that kind of speaks to the backlog at the time. Part of the delay was also due to demand, so he's probably still playing catch-up. I would expect that yours will ship very shortly, -you won't have the long delays that I did because the supply portion of the delay should be taken care of by now I imagine. I received mine last month.

At any rate, the product is well worth it. The construction is excellent, and it looks amazing imho. The owner was quite good about keeping me in the loop with the delays, -great customer service. You're not going to be disappointed with your case.

Edit: Ack. Just saw your followup post :)

I am not sure which bag you are referring too? But SF does do a nice job on their website showing what components they can hold. IMO, the Cargo will hold much more then the hardcase.

I have the small cargo with sleeve. I carry charger cables few odds and ends in the front rounded pocket. A paper pad and few brochures in the back zipper pocket. The laptop in the main compartment. Not much room for more. That is what I like about it, small and light. I have larger bags for my needs.

You are not going to find one bag to suit all. Unless you get a large bag and don't mind hauling around bulk when you really do not need it. Start out with a $100 or less bag.

On the apple store the Thule 15" cross over looks like a great starter bag. It not huge but should meet your needs with the price. After time and money you can get a sleeve for Pack and Smooch and a few bags from SFBags.

29th order

I ordered mine on 29th and status says confirmed. I even mailed them to give me an estimate on shipping, no reply. Reading other posts I think I need to wait more.

Haha my mistake for not clarifying. I was asking about the Pack and Smooch bag. Will the 11" Pack and Smooch bag fit the Macbook Air and maybe a notebook and folders + charger? or does it only fit a macbook air and charger.

I would say probably not. In the 13" as in my pictures I took, I can carry the full charger cables, maybe a few other small items. But I would not be able to add in a notebook as well. But if I am going out just for the day on a full charge, no need for the cables and I would be able to slide in a notebook in place of the charger.

Does carrying a charger stretch out the pocket at all? I mean, does it return back once removed?

That would be one for the fabric experts. I am not sure how much wool can stretch beyond it's point of elasticity. I do not use this sleeve as an everyday tool. So I can not answer that with the use I experience. Usually just to shoot over a friends place and I do not take the charger with me.

Thanks. It would only be an every once in awhile thing for me as well.
