Scratchgate and dust magnet are just two of the headlines around Apple's new flagship phone. How are your phones holding up after the first months of use. Scratched displays? Dust behind the camera lens? Any issues? Share your experience with us.

Strange... when I google 11Pro I get headlines referring to scratches up to leading European newspapers f.e. This does not mean, that I think there is such thing as a scratch gate. I am a historian by profession so I know what a “gate” is.Few things: (Yes, I’m gonna nitpick).
1.) That’s not what ‘Gate’ means.
2.) Can you cite what headlines you are referring to that are surrounding the new iPhone 11’s? Of all the tech sites that I follow, none of them are reporting anything about ‘dust and scratches’ at all.
I’m Not saying that dust or scratches can’t be an issue, but there’s no main ‘headlines’ about this at all. Every iPhone seems to deal with scratches and dust in some form or another, it depends who actually notices it.

This f.e. is a headline from Forbes magazine... if you like it or not. This does not mean, that I agree with Forbes.
Well that explains a lot. I roll my eyes every time I see a Forbes headline because they seem to make a mountain out of a molehill with Apple over and over. I've stopped reading them.
Right. You’ll see the same outlets and the same forum members report the same issues. “Oh my god have you seen the display models?! There’s clearly something wrong with the glass Apple is using this year!” “Oh my god the screens are so yellow! Apple is doooomed!” “There’s a speck of dust in my camera lens. Dust-gate!!!!!!!”No problems at all with mine. I think this “gate” thing happens every year. Right?

So is this year's glass easier to scratch or not? If Apple claims that it is harder to shatter it must be more prone to scratches, or?

Too bad we can't have both: scratch and shatterproof!Yes, that’s how it works. A shattered screen makes the device much less pleasurable to use so they trade scratch resistance for shatter resistance.
