It is a total BS. Just an attempt to advertise his "DSLR film making" business. I highly doubt that these screens are fed wirelessly (e.g. video signal is coming to the monitors through RF waves). For security reasons such connection have to be wired.
Probably guy just used aftereffects to make an illusion of him hacking the screens.

Come ON, guys! That's clearly a fake. iPhones don't do video out from the P5 plug; displays in Times Square are NOT fed wirelessly; and the effect when the signal "breaks up" is clearly too pretty and not like real digital video signal breaking up.

UPDATE: I received several mails from readers saying that this might be fake. I had second thoughts too when i first saw it but i believe, or at least i want to believe, that it's real and not just a good mask-work in post. It is of course a very doable & easy editing procedure that i'm doing often myself for several jobs but if you want to make it right it is also very time-consuming especially with shaken footage that needs to be edited frame-by-frame. So unless proven otherwise, i want to believe that this is real.

It's a pretty funny and cool fake. It was well worth opening and watching the link. Doubtful that any device connected to the audio jack could transmit video. If they had it connected to the dock port, then it might have been a little more "amazing".

it was just confirmed fake. Apparently it was promoting the movie Limitless. Bad advertisement I must say. They just paid the people running the screens for an hour to run their video and just tried their best to match it up.
