Hi,
I was just wondering whether it is known whether iOS5 will be fully compatible with the iPhone4 given that it seems as if it will be released before the Iphone5?
Thanks
They just now stopped support for the 3GS (with iOS 4.3), so I'd say the iPhone 4 is safe for a couple years yet.
No, it's not going to be supported because IOS 5 will require the majiggy that the iPhone 4 doesn't have, but the iPhone 5 will.
How are we supposed to know? really?
Might as well use a Magic 8-ball:

Yep, long day...I think you mean 3G, not 3GS.
Yep, long day...
'spose I was thinking that you probably just don't want to update a 3GS beyond 4.3...

In my personal opinion, it will not support iOS5. Because iOS5 requires certain things that are not supported with the Iphone 4. However, I think we can not be sure about that until an official announcement by apple. Image
Are you serious? You're telling me that Apple's current flagship phone (iPhone 4) will not support iOS 5? Every iPhone has been able to upgrade to a newer iOS than it shipped with.
Not to mention Apple demoed iOS 5 on an iPhone 4. Not to mention all the developers are using iPhone 4s and 3GSs.
Also, Apple has already officially announced it.
