just thought it would be handy to have a list of all the apps that support lions new full screen mode...

Itunes (10.5 beta)
Twitterific
iCal
Safari
Photo Booth

iPhoto
iMovie
Garageband
Aperture

Numbers

Xcode

In the Keynote Address of WWDC 2011, at a certain moment Phill Schiller showed all full-screen-capable applications from Apple:
- Safari
- Mail
- iCal
- Preview
- Photo Booth
- iPhoto
- iMovie
- Garageband
- iTunes
- Aperture
- Keynote
- Pages
- Numbers
- Facetime
- Xcode
Obviously Apple has yet to update a few of these applications to provide this functionality, including the release of iTunes 10.5.
 
iWork '09 does not support Lion-native full-screening, but implements its own full-screen version.

I expect iWork '11 will hit the App store on the same day as Lion, and all the lovely new features (e.g. AutoSave) will be supported.

(Like iPhoto, it's the same "full screen" interface as before, but they did update it to support Lion's built-in full screen mode.)
 
Yeah but quicktime has a fullscreen bug, if you are watching a movie in fullscreen and quit out of QT, next time you open QT it opens up in a weird windowed desktop.

I noticed that too. Hopefully we don't have to wait for 10.7.1 to get that fixed.

yes I am on Chrome now and I tried that full screen option and it completely take of the title bar and menu bar . Maybe at some point Google with fix that

It'll be an update to '09. It was demoed in the keynote.
 
It would be amazing if Photoshop supported full screen. Their current implementation doesn't auto-hide the dock, and of course it doesn't get its own space in Mission Control.

Final Cut Pro X will probably get support for it too, that would also be cool.

How do you get full screen in Numbers? I'm sure it's obvious, but I can't see how!

Google Chrome

edit: Chrome doesn't actually work. I figured that the OP would have edited the list to add Chrome thus I did not bother reading any of the other posts, did not consider that it was only a gimmick.

Google didn't use the Apple API when integrating the full-screen functionality into Chrome, they just made the maximize arrows trigger the normal "cmd + shift + f" fullscreen mode.

In the most recent dev-build of Google Chrome they have actually removed it altogether, so I guess it'll take some weeks before it gets fully implemented and even longer for it to hit the official stable build of Google Chrome for Mac.
 
World of Warcraft has a Windowed (full screen) mode that works with Lion desktop/app swiping and shows menu, dock can be made to stay on top, however it consumes a desktop space and does not go to a window.
 
iPhoto doesn't seem to have full-screen support for me. It has a built-in full-screen option, but it's not the integrated Lion feature. Is this just a problem on my end?
 
In Apple's continued trend of removing features from professional applications, Aperture's fullscreen mode in Lion loses the ability to use multiple desktops.
 
Question - Other than maybe a game or a movie, why would you want to run an app full screen? Isn't the whole point of these operating systems to enable multitasking so you can do more things at once. Opening an app full screen just lets you run/work on that one single app. Am I missing something?

What version of iPhoto do you have? I think Apple only updated '11 to use te new fullscreen.
 
You may want to focus on your work, for example. Or need just a little extra screen real estate. Switching between fullscreen apps is pretty nice as well.

Just depends on your personal preference.
