about to drop some $ for ram.
from what i read most support crucial or owc?, mac sales.
one thread indicated ramjet was the best.

but the occasional bad ram is out there.

is there anything more definitive as to which company is more reliable for
the best quality ram (for the new 21.5-$1495.00 imac)?

thanks

My following experience with OWC may help you decide.

I bought 16 GB memory (4x4 GB) for my Mac Pro. I had to have two RMAs to get working memory without kernel panics. The first two sets could not pass the extended test with the Apple Hardware Test and caused kernel panics.

I went through Crucial and they did an excellent job. Fast shipping and the RAM works perfectly.

I used to pick micron/crucial same company samsung or hynix. I do many installs and upgrades. crucial/micron has had trouble in 2010 macmini's samsung and hynix has been perfect. right now I am on my 2009 c2d iMac and have 3 sticks of 4g ram from crucial it works fine. this ram does not work in 2010 2.66ghz c2d mac mini's . I say buy hynix or samsung
