iPad was there a fix for the camera connection?

I wonder if there is a true way of putting video files [mp4, or even avi's, etc] on a camera connector card with say like a 16 or 32gb card] and play using VLC player or similar... I know this has been discussed before but still there is no true resolution to this as of now... unless u modify the file structures. It would be nice to carry a small 16gb card instead of loading it into the small 64gb ipad during those vacations.

This is absolutely possible, that's what I jailbreak for. You use ifile and copy the avi (or whatever other format) into the documents folder of whatever media player app you use (e.g vlc)..then when you're done watching you can delete it from the iPad and copy another over from the USB stick or sd..simples
 
Is there an issue with the camera kit? I haven't try it out yet.
Or is Comex fixing the limitation Apple put on the camera kit?

The CCK does not work with jailbroken iPads. It would be great if comex could fix the limitation that Apple put on it if/when he fixes the other bug that makes it not work though. :D

i guess comex is working on it

Update tomorrow will fix an issue with installing some packages and the issue with the Camera Connection Kit.

Which part doesn't work? The SD card? The USB port when using a camera? Cause the USB cck is working for for midi controllers.
 
so how does this update work when its available do we reinstall cydia? when we open cydia it does an date or install a package threw cydia?

I guess you just go to jailbreakme.com and run the jailbreak again. This should install the updated kernel and should fix everything.

Im however reluctant to install jm 3.0 over another type of jailbreak, because it switches out a chaching method with the Union file system (unionfs)...

To be sure id restore and rejailbreak... How ever just installing jm 3.0 might work idk

EDIT:
Comex tweeted that the update will be available in cydia.

Thats great that he is fixing it so quickly. Now if someone else could allow it to use more power as it previously did.. that would be glorious.
 
So the fix is to go jailbreakme.com and JB again? Or is there a fix in Cydia that we download?

How many times is this same question going to be asked? Duplicate threads are bad enough, now it's duplicate posts within threads.

THE FIX WILL BE POSTED IN CYDIA.
 
Really am grateful for all Comex has given to all iPad 2 owners. I totally didn't expect this to be fixed tomorrow, he's really dedicated.

Someone said that its already out and I don't see anyone posting the package name or repos. That's why I'm asking again. I went to cydia with my iPad but sees no news, etc for this fix.

Anyone knows the name of the package?

Who said that it's already available? No one in this thread said it was.
