Well I just got done dying my G4 iBook 1.33 case plastics black and WOW I'm so impressed how much better black dyes then when I dyed my G3 iBook. It turned out so perfect and even and a dark rich black. It looks almost like a true blackbook, but only in a 12" 4x3 form.

I was doing this for Shont213 on this site so if he doesn't want it, I'm going to list it on ebay :D

I even dyed one of the battery covers too.

And now for the 14" Blackbook.

Oh I think it's gorgous. I'm using the keys from the 15" Titanium Powerbook ;)

Too bad it's just the shell and I don't have the working iBook anymore. Would be very nice to see it with the screen on and working.

I bet it looks pretty awesome, but it would be truly amazing if you could somehow shoehorn a MacBook logic board in it.

Sure, I'll take some more in a bit. I can tell you that the top cover is very shiny almost mirror like and attracts fingerprints like a mofo(kinda reminds me of a PSP). The black is very deep and even. I also tried dying the touchpad but didn't turned out dark enough, it's more of a greyish color. I don't know if I can seperate it from the censor underneath though.

The bottom isn't as shiny as the top as this was a used laptop. But no one will ever see the bottom :p

Here you can see that I left the little trim ring around the ports undyed. Looks better that way IMHO.
