Does anyone have their battery being completely drained from Reddit App or YouTube App? Just using the Reddit app for 1 hour caused my battery to go from 85% down to 40%. 1 hour of YouTube brought the battery down to 20%.

I have also been experiencing issues where the battery will stop charging at 78%. If I shut my iPad down and turn it on, battery will show up as 85% and I can continue charging. I let the battery completely die and charged it to 100% but I am worried something might be wrong with how little use I can get out of these apps.

I don’t use reddit much but watch YouTube daily for at least a half hour to 45 minutes without that kind of significant drain. Based on your charging issue I would agree that the battery sounds suspect, it is likely in need of replacement soon.

I was also thinking the official Reddit app was responsible for significant battery zap.
A 15 minute browse, using the app can easily zap 10% battery. Turning off things like autoplay for media cards, etc, helps slightly but, yeah, the App itself seems quite battery intensive

It stopped charging at 93% this time.
Don’t all apple devices do this to an extent? Does it eventually reach 100% (regardless of saying “not charging”) if left alone?

I think this might occur when using 3Rd party power supply or cables. Usually a restart of the device resolves

I think I am in need of a battery replacment. My 1st gen 12.9 battery is at 54% health according to Coconut Battery.

According to Apple’s site the replacement is $99, is that correct or am I reading a terms and condition wrong?

Try Apollo instead.

It resolves it sometimes. But the next day the issue appears again. And my battery is draining very fast.
