Looking for a small sleeve that would fit the new 12.9 iPad without being bulky or lose. Just something to protect it from stractches when I put it in my bag. Thanks!

I use an Acme Made Skinny Sleeve.
In my laptop bag.
I use one made for small MacBook.
So the opening is on the long side.
Not like the typical iPad sleeve where the opening is on the short side.
Fit isn’t perfect - a bit loose.
But protection in a bag is good.
And easy to pull out.

If you just literally need a no-frills sleeve meant to go in another bag to protect it from other things in the bag, this is what I got:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Top...1-12-13-14-15-inch-Women-Men/32907597149.html

Just keep in mind it is literally zero frills. No pockets, pouches, zippers, buckles, trim, padding, pen clips, wire access holes... nothing but a simple sleeve. They didn't even bother to put the stitches on the inside.

i assume you get the 13 inch for the 12.9 ipad right?

Well the size system must have been different when I ordered because looking at my receipt, I got "12.3" which isn't an option now. So to ensure fit I'd look at the dimensions listed further down and check that against the iPad's dimensions.
