I was hoping to pick up a 256 12.9" tomorrow but it appears it will be out of stock until August. I am a little disapointed as I wanted it for a convention this upcoming weekend. Is there anyway to get one of these in the next couple days? I am thinking of buying the 10.5 and maybe selling it once the 12.9 comes. I have an iPad 4 and while it is nice for my Square register, it is time for it to go. Any tips or advice? I'm really disappointed I did not expect to see this one slip.

The 256 GB 12.9 iPad Pro has been extremely limited and you could monitor iStocknow for any updates with stores receiving inventory.

Check open boxes at Best Buy.

I think they had a gold when I looked last. But it seems to vary by day.

Unless you want to jump to the 512, which is what I ended up doing.

Very much depends on which model you are looking at. I'm eyeballing the 12.9, space gray, 256, wifi+cellular. That model right now is impossible to find -- apparently only a 1-2 week backorder.

OTOH WiFi only models, 64 and 512 Cellular, and white models can be had with some hunting from various online and big box stores, even Apple retail. I could buy a white version of the model I'm looking at today but I can't live the white bezel. It's even more distracting on a 12.9 I think.

That is exactly the model I am looking at. Even though I have an iPhone and I know it can share LTE, I really like having it built in. I cannot stand the white bezels either. I think I will just backorder one. If I get sick of the iPad 4 Ill just run to the Apple Store and get a 10.5 as all models seem to be in stock. Gift it or sell it later.

If You were interested in LTE models, you could always check your local cell phone carrier as well. They sometimes receive iPad shipments daily.

FWIW I know VZW's stock mirrors Apple right now as I was briefly tempted by their $150 off deal. Had they had stock I might have jumped. Sprint and VZW I think have stock but with those two might as well just get a WiFi model. Ha ha.

Just checked locally and the Wifi models in stock (didn't look at LTE) at all apple stores.
