I understand not everyone is the same. I love the new MBR design wise. But i have NFL QB sized hands, i would have to pretend i was squeezing a therapeutic ball after i got typing a paragraph on the 11" MBA i used to have lol. But other than that, for around the house the 11" form factor was great. Too bad i never traveled with it lol.

More than likely you will have the same problem.
I LOVED the size of the 11" for around the house or using while laying in bed. But ultimately with my LARGE hands it was too small for me to type on. My hands and wrists would cramp even with light typing.
With my MBPR, MUCH better obviously but actually my favorite to type on for "me" is the 13" MBA. It actually has a "larger footprint" than the 13" MBPR, and more wrist space. More like bottom of my hand space for my big paws lol.
I have played with the MBR in store numerous times now, and i could just see me having the same problem i had with the 11" MBA. Too cramped for me as much as i love how sexy the MBR is. Not sure how big your hands are, or if you just prefer a larger surface area for your wrists to rest.
Best bet go into the store like i did. I'm crossing my fingers for a 14" MBR with a tad larger footprint

Honestly I think it'll just get some taking used to because my work machine is a 15 MBPr, which is why I'm considering such a small computer for home.
You will probably be fine if you have another "main" computer to do your typing on. My 13" is my "Main" computer so that is all i have to type on. As a couch surfer/home computer you should be ok, since you won't be typing a whole lot so to speak. Hell half the websites get auto input so no typing for that lol. Facebook responses etc? You should be fine.
But if you can go to apple to check it out. When i first seen it, i thought it would be "bigger" so to speak just really skinny. Its a very sexy machine, it reminds me of a iPad 3 laying face down when closed sorta.
It just simply wouldn't work for me i have straight up NFL QB type hands. OVER 9" from the start of my palm.......
