Uncertain if Apple have updated drivers along the way, recently revisited Doom 3 as had some time to burn, 2015 1.2 rMB running D3 @ 1440 x 900, ultimate settings mid to high 50`s FPS, occasionally dips to the mid 30`s. Last time I remember trying D3 it played much slower the point the game was not really playable due to the frame-rate.

nb. OS X 10.10.5

I have actually experienced some pretty decent FPS on the m7 in WoW on medium-ish settings (disabled shadows, and a few other impactful settings). It gets between 40-85 fps in the Garrison / Orgrimar / Dalaran. Only problem is the game seems to freeze after a short while with a .gpuRestart / kernel event shown in the logs. Not sure if it's a hardware or software issue..

I'm getting pretty good results on my m7. Dishonoured runs very well at medium-low settings.
Mass Effect 2 and 3 also run well at medium-lowish settings.
Valkyria Chronicles also runs very well at mediumish settings.
All games played at 1440x900.

All in all very impressive for a fanless computer.

You would have a better indication if you maybe tried lowest possible settings and see if you get same issue

Someone on the Wow forums suggested capping the fps at 60. I made that adjustment, and also changed the UI scale from 125% back to 100% (not sure if this setting mattered). Some combination of those settings fixed it.. haven't had the issue since.

Diablo 3 was very playable for my M7. Heroes of the storm was unplayable (5-15 fps) even at lowest settings. Haven't tested Starcraft yet but I'd expect it to be most playable among the mentioned Blizzard games.

Warcraft runs well on a 13" MacBook Pro, you still have to turn off shadows etc Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2 run but the performance is not brilliant, just turn effects down etc and they are playable. If you want a decent Mac laptop for blizzard stuff then you need to buy a 15" MacBook Pro with the discreet graphics.

If you are referring to the resolution, you don't get a broader area view with higher resolution on Diablo 3. On 12" monitor 1280x800 didn't feel any different than 1400x900

To be honest I tried Heroes of The Storm before I installed all the latest drivers on my windows partition, was the first game i tried. I'll try again when I get back home.

Can be the windows partition problem?
Explain better: you speak about windows partition for play heroes of the storm. Can be the few apple hardware compatibility with windows? Can heroes of the storm Mac version work better than windows version?

The Windows is yields about 10-20% more fps... either way, I've seen people playing HOTS on the 2016 MB with medium settings with good framerate (over 45 if I am not mistaken) so you can probably play fairly well on the lowest ones.

Like I said, I play on a 2010 MBA a 6 years old computer and I can still get about 30 fps.

you can... but when Diablo's ult happens (or anything having a lot of "action). you will lag a lot.

if you want your teammates to hate you, play it on rMB.

So, has anyone tried emulation of older game consoles? Can the 2016 rMB (or even the 2015) run emulations such as NES, Sega Genesis, N64, PS1?

Any idea on if Rocket League would be playable on a 2016 M5 on a W10 partition? Total noob to this area of computing expertise but I think it'd be fun to have on my rMB if I did end up buying one...
