i have a 12 macbook 2016 and the hinge is a bit loose but still useable. I bring it to apple and they said it can only be fixed by replacing the whole screen. I asked if it can be fixed by replacing some screws and they said only the older macbooks air/pros with the apple glowing light logos can be fixed by tightening the screws but the newer ones aren’t.
Are there any other ways to fix the hinge? thanks

I have the same problem on a 2015 Macbook. Perfectly usable, but a little annoying. I only worry it will become loser over time as it wiggles around a few mm when moved.

I have the same problem on my 2016 MacBook.

I think I've had about 12 Macs over the past 20 years in my immediate family. This 2016 MacBook has been by far the worst. Keyboard is horrible, screen hinge is horrible, battery is horrible. If it was my only Apple experience, I'd probably never touch Apple again.
