Best way right now is to buy the Apple adapters either VGA or HDMI as you like. They are expensive, but if you will be using it in one place, can work as a mini docking station to connect all your peripherals with one connection.

I saw that cable. I wan't aware they were out yet. Now I'm torn between a new Macbook or a Macbook Pro. Mine is a few years old now.

Not if its Thunderbolt (see endless threads elsewhere...)! There are Apple adapters for HDMI and VGA that I use regularly for meetings on the road. Airplay with an Apple TV also works well for me.

I just got my new Macbook from work, and am trying out the keyboard, music, etc. It is taking some time to get used to, but my first impression so far is this is an amazingly impressive machine. It reminds me of my first Powerbook 12 back in 2004, but light-years ahead in terms of technology. I never thought a computer could be this light, small, and powerful.

The screen is absolutely stunning. I can't get over how beautiful the entire package this is. The trackpad already feels great, and it definitely adds some "depth" to OS X. I can see them leveraging the taptic feedback so much more.

I can't wait to take this out for a spin across the country as the may reason I got it was for the portability. Running Creative Cloud seems to be going really smoothly as well. Just stunning.

I still can't get my head around how they make the trackpad feel and sound like it's clicking. I've had mine for over a month now and it's still boggling my mind.

nice review! just wonder how would you rate the speakers on the rMB. Are they as good as those on the 15 rMBP?

They're way better. Nicest sounding speakers on a Mac notebook in a long while, perhaps ever. Basically if whatever design witchery they've pulled off in such a thin chassis makes it across to the next revision of MacBook Pro (where there's less of a restricted body design), they ought to be able to do something downright magic..
