The Army of the Twelve Monkeys- (SciFi Network) if you did not see the movie, a group responsible for killing off most of humanity with a deadly virus and a man sent back in time to stop it from happening. This show just took off with the second episode of this series with the introduction of the character Jennifer Goines, the mental patient whose father has a secret lab. I'm hooked! :)

I saw the pilot last week and was intrigued. My wife and I will continue to watch it. We have the second episode on our DVR but haven't watched it yet.

Just watched last week's. Once I reach a point, where I don't care, that's it. However, I owe it to myself to rewatch the original movie, which as I recall did not impress me either. ;)

The original movie was just ok, from what I remember of it to.

I will give the rest of the season a chance. I still like it.

I enjoyed the movie notwithstanding the remarkably melodramatic ending sequence, but I'm not convinced about this series. That and I suppose I couldn't watch it anyway even if I wanted!:D

The original movie is great, I've seen it many times. Its based on La Jetée by Chris Marker which is amazing in its own right. Its a collection of still images with one magical moment of motion about 2/3 thru the film.

The Syfy version is pretty good so far, the lighting and production is very good as well.

I watched the movie tonight. It's good, having much better qualities than the show. Cole is living a dream/nightmare and this part of the story is absent in the show so far. In the show, Cole jumps around investigating, without the disorientation and dream like quality of just what is reality? After seeing this it would be hard for me to tolerate the show which is so lacking in style by comparison and includes filler sub plots to plump the story out for a series. :)

The ending is outstanding.

Hint:
Rewatch the movie, you've missed the punchline :p

Yes I did. Honestly I thought I'd seen this movie, but maybe not.

Unfortunately this link is in French... I think.

Did you try this link? It takes you to youtube and the exact spot I was referencing.

I see no link here. At the link you previously provided was n French unless there is a Youtube setting I could change? Looking at it on my iPad.

Re-watching the movie 12 Monkeys, of interest when the psychiatrist, Madeline Stowe first sees Cole (1990) she tells him she thinks she has seen him before? This is the earliest time she has seen him as I recall.

She had seen him in a picture from the WWI battlefield photo that she used in her book, which she wrote before ever meeting him in person. If I recall correctly...

Movie reference spoiler-

You may be right, however the picture is shown just prior to the second time they meet, when she is giving a lecture I think. However it really does not matter, she tells him she has always felt him... :)

I think that's when she realizes it's him, but we could reasonably infer that she'd seen it previously while researching her book hence the familiarity. Okay it's been a while since I've seen it, but it's a minor point anyway. :)

The link is in French? There is no link? The name of the original film is French but it's a link to YouTube. works every time for me. On a desktop and an iPad. ????

I was on my iPad, clicked on the one and only link you provided, unless I missed a link. The movie starts, it's subtitled in a foreign language, actually includes double subtitles, with a foreign speaker. I'll tried it on my Mac and same thing. If the verbiage is important, what I'm getting is in French.

Is anyone still watching this? I've been keeping up with it, though I'm not deep into it. It has some good actors in it though. Kirk Acevedo (Band of Brothers) and Michael Hogan (Battlestar Galactica) are prominent ones I recognize.

This weeks coming episode is supposed to be "the best one of both seasons" so far.

I'm still watching it. I'm not sure where they're going this season though. It's a weird show to start with, but they're getting particularly weird now.

Agreed. The focus of the show is somewhat garbled and not clear to me, like it was in the beginning of the first season which was in line with the movie. But I seem to be watching it still, but not paying close attention like I do to GoT.
