So I'm still hanging on to my 12" PB and
will be waiting for the ultra-portable...

Any ideas on how to max out my PB anymore?
    1.5 Ghz / 1.25 GB / 100GB 7200 RPM drive
Or is this basically as fast as it can get?

    1. You can get a CPU upgrade at Daystar Tech
    2. You can get a faster SSD drive.

In terms of cost, your current setup is about the best you will get. The daystar upgrade is $360 for .17Ghz increase in speed.

    Thanks guys.
Since flash is still pretty expesive, I'll stick with this.
Either way, apparently ultra-portable is due in Jan :D.

    Yep

Yeah, you're pretty much maxed. As a 1.5 ghz 12" powerbook owner myself, I am absolutely ecstatic about the rumors of the new release in January.

    Saving up starting today.
