iPhone 12 Pro 12 pro compass not working

Has anyone noticed it does not work with the silicone case ?

I am curious: when you remove the case it does work and then when you put the case on it stops working?

Yes , does that happen with yours ? I assume it’s the magnets in the case

I used to have a case on my previous iPhone that also had magnets in it and the compass also didn’t work.
Can’t find any Apple support documents about magsafe cases breaking the compass, seems like an oversight on Apple’s side.

It is a shame Apple didn’t make silicone cases without the magnet, for those who don’t care about MagSafe.

So Apple will send me a replacement silicone case , possibly a defect so we shall see if that helps ..

Compass works on my 12 Pro with clear MagSafe case on.
