I have asked for a replacement of my iphone 12 pro max because a trouble with the modem.
I am noticing that the new phone that i received has hoy a total different display, less pwm, better colors and motion, seems a 90hz display compared to the old one.

So, they are teo iphones 12 pro max with different displays, hoy is it possible?
Got shined!

You probably won the panel lottery

different tolerances and manufacturers

but mostly tolerances

Can you explain a bit more? What do you notice different specifically?
The replacement iphone screen is more fluid and at low luminosity there is no pwn like the other one.
Seems like the screen is a lot more confortable to view, another world.

I think that 12 pro max manufactures are lg and samsung this year, so will be good to know which is the old one and which the new one.
But i’m pretty sure the old one was an lg and the new one a samsung, because i’m pretty good on recognizing samsung screens

ok, i’ve found more interesting things and i’m not alone with the trouble, look this video ->

there are many examples and comments, but i don’t think i will download the software to check because i’m so afraid about malware.

anyway the issue is there and many people should complain about his screen quality.

i have made some screenshots about the video:

This is interesting, thanks for sharing. I returned a couple iPhones, I wish I had checked their panels before doing so!
My workplace computer detected that app as a virus, I can't use it. But I'd like to check my curent phone.

Okay, so how to do you check to see which panel you have if you don't want to download some Chinese app?
