Seems that the new 12 Pro Max is too tall for my existing charging stands. I have the original white Logitech Charging Stand and the older Belkin 2-1. Both of them when the phone is placed vertically do not charge. However, when flipped horizontally, both work. Apple also notes that the newer Belkin 3-1 stand is not compatible with the 12 Pro Max. Anyone else experiencing this? I am not sure if it’s due to the magnets or size of the phone.

I’ve got the same issue when I’m using my Anker power wave stand which I was using for the iPhone 11 Pro max which worked Perfectly. I’m now having to look at other wireless stands that allow me to charge my iPhone 12 pro max. Quite disappointing really.

my 3 in one logitech stand works with the apple silicone case and the otterbox symmetry case, but not the otterbox defender pro case, which sucks because the case is actually good this year

And my Belkin stand won’t charge my Mini reliably. I guess that’s going to be a common problem for those of us with phones at either end of the size scale.

My 12 pro max with Apple leather cover will not charge on

Belkin BOOST↑CHARGE™ 3-in-1 Wireless Charger unless placed upside down or remove cover!! awaiting the belkin magsafe version

Yeah I've got the same issue and it really blows. I'm not about to go out and buy a new wireless veritcal stand to sit my phone on just to accommodate the 12PM. I'm inching ever closer to returning this phone and sticking with the 11 Pro Max. MagSafe to me is a joke of a product and not something I'll ever use and I like to have my phone in a vertical stand on my nightstand. A shame that these are not compatible with the 12 Pro Max. I really like the 12PM but these little things are not something I had to deal with with the 11 Pro Max.

Added some foam, now it charges just fine. Looks terrible but functions.

My 3 year old cheapo Seneo charging stands from Amazon charge my 12 Pro Max just fine. I was pleased that it still worked after reading about all the issues with other charging stands.

You could get colour matched adhesive backed foam strips (door seal) from the hardware store if you want it to look better.

I’ve used similar foam on my stands to prop up my devices because the stands were made with the home button iPhones in mind & have a front lip that covered the lower section of the screen before I stuck the foam strips in there.

I have a Samsung Convertible Wireless Charger and I have no issues charging mine. I've only used it in the standing up mode, but if that works, I'm sure laying it down would work as well. If I'm not mistaken this charger has 3 coals inside, so one of them is bound to line up with the phone as it does in my case. Should anyone be interested this is the link to it: https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Cert...refix=samsung+convertible+wire,aps,182&sr=8-4

Both my Anker Power Wave version 7.5 and my Belkin 3 in 1 wireless charger work with my 12 Pro Max in an ESR clear case.
