Camera Upgrades all around (not to mention sensor shift image stabilization from 13 pro), always-on display, all day battery life that is substantially higher compared to 12 pro. Knowing the 15 pro next year will have a telescoping camera with 10x optical zoom is tempting to hold off, but that's about it!

My wife is 99% sure she’s going to upgrade from her 12 pro max. She lives on her phone for her job and definitely needs to charge it again before the end of her work day. And she sees how amazing my 13 pro max is on battery

yes, from 12 Pro Max to 14 Pro. Not to Pro Max as I am tired of the size and heft.

Wish they had a 14 mini.

If that’s true, then you’d just convinced me to hold off for the 15. I have the 13 PM and the battery is awesome. 100% battery health since launch and everything works flawlessly. Other than the dynamic island and brighter screen, I’m not sure if I want to upgrade to the 14, but it’s tempting due to the overall cost if I trade the 13 PM in.

I am, my 12 Pro Max is starting to show some wear and tear now and the camera improvements, dynamic island and always on display are all significant enough improvements/new features to make an upgrade worthwhile for me.

Seems a speculative comment based off rumours to me, we don't know what features the 15 will/won't have.

Just pulled the trigger on a 14P. Own my 12P outright though, so I decided to forego the trade in and keep the 12P as a backup for my wife and I.

It's partially speculative, but with high probability it will be in there.

Samsung S20 series have a camera built in that uses a folded sensor that goes up to 10x optical zoom. With all the camera upgrades this year, I really can't think of anything that would be worth moving to any 15 Pro for besides increasing Zoom capability (and maybe in-display Touch ID, but that would be super not likely).

Going from a 12 Pro to a 14 Pro Max. Always had the "plus/Max" size until the 12, thinking 6.1" was going to be sufficient. After playing around with a 13 Pro Max, the bigger screen size was better for me this time around.

Still quite happy with my 12 Pro Max. I am not much of a phone user and went from a iPhone 6s Plus to the 12 Pro Max at launch. Looking forward to paying it off in about 6 months and having a smaller monthly bill, that was a good feeling on my 6s Plus.

Aside from that, I just don't see anything especially compelling. The satellite connectivity is very cool, but I am rarely in a situation where that is needed and I'm also thinking it might need a little time to mature. I don't share the enthusiasm for the "dynamic island" either.

But I certainly understand the thrill of getting a new phone, so I hope that it's a good upgrade for those who choose to get one.

Satellite connectivity is overrated, great as an insurance policy if your in the middle of nowhere, but isn't really adding everyday use value. Same for Crash Detection.

12 pro to a 14 pro. My battery sucks, so I hope this time it’s better. Plus purple is my favorite color.
Same here with my 12 pro - battery stinks. With my previous phone (Xs Max) I never had to charge it until night time or sometimes it would last me 1.5 days without a single charge. 12 pro, not so much. I find myself charging it throughout the day.

I dont think my 12 pro battery life 'stinks' on 15.1.1 but at the same time, looking for to that Max + power efficiency
4nm A16 seems cool

Yeah - I live on the east coast, so the situations where I’ll ever be anywhere without cell coverage are, at this point in 2022+, pretty edge-case. Even if I’m hiking in the mountains.

For you folks out West though, I could see it being more of a feature.

I’ve never had to bring my charger to work with me, but now. And going to the events like baseball games or concerts “, I’m too scared to use my phone while going to the place. lol

Upgrading or downgrading - depending on how you look at it:

12 Pro to 14 Plus.

Main reason:
SOS Emergency as I fish remote rivers without cell towers in canyons and off fishing trails.

Another reason:
Don't need Pro or Pro Max for the camera features.

not upgrading until I figured how I can use my phone via prepaid or how can I have a reliable and cheap service while traveling to asia 2-3 times a year without the convenience of sim card.
