My itunes says there is 1 update so I click on check for updates and it then says i have a 120+ updates? I download them all. Then check for updates again and it says that all the apps i just freaking downloaded have to be updated again. I restart and still says i have a 120 updates. I dont know what to do i was gonna trying reinstalling itunes? havent synced the iphone3G yet but it needs to be restored for the 5th time. It will not open any third party apps. I didnt crash all the apple stuff works but no 3rd party apps. I have hard restarted it 4 times still no game action. My lil girl has my 1st gen iphone running the same 3rd party apps and is bouncing from game to drawing app faster then me and that thing hasnt bricked once. I should hve gave her the 3G and kept my 1gen iphone.

I did go to the G bar but the G said it was all the 3rd party developers problem and not apples. I explained what was happening and he said u just gotta wait for the developers.

    someone HELP, PLEASE!!!!

Same thing happens to me, I just update from the iPhone, and then sync the applications back to my mac. Hopefully apple will address this sooner rather than later. "Normal" computer users will get tired of issues like this extremely quickly.

There's a reason why Apple has the section where you can sync selected applications...the other ones can just be there so you don't have to keep downloading again.

Oh right! I forgot that I should have 120 apps sitting on my computer when I'm only going to use three

Why so many updates? Because instead of trashing older updates, iTunes stores them all along with the latest updates, thus creating multiple copies of a single app, thus retrieving updates for each such copy. Check your Applications folder in /home/Music/iTunes/Mobile Applications/ and you'll understand what I mean.

Here waiting for iTunes 7.7.2

If you're only going to use three...then have three apps.

But what if you use them enough?

My iPhone can't fit all my music and videos in my library.

Does that mean that I should just delete those off my computer just because I can always copy them back over from my external drive? Or maybe I can just leave them in the library just cause I can.

No, because you can still listen to all your music on your computer. You can't even open the iPhone apps on your computer.

This is a new bug since 7.7.1. Funny since app updating was something that wasn't totally broken in 7.7.0. But now it is!

That has nothing to do with what I said. I said that some people don't want to download the applications again. Swapping out music has nothing to do with listening to them on the computer.

Albeit I only download the ones that I currently use, but I'm sure that with so many iPhone users, it's not surprising to see someone who doesn't feel like deleting an application on both the iPhone and the computer when they don't need to use it. Some just want to keep it so they don't have to download it again.

I'm not saying you shouldn't leave some apps on your computer. hey--I have a couple games I don't currently sync to my phone. I'm just saying you don't need 120 apps. Maybe soon there will be 120 apps worth having, but right now there are precious few useful apps.
