Just a heads up - this has probably been posted already sorry if it has.

I've had a nightmare ths afternoon - went to Bluewater to get a 3G iPhone upgrade as they were in stock(O2 now have a stock checker BTW) got all the way through went to pay and my card declined.

I knew there were sufficient funds, so contacted my bank and looking at outstanding authorisations there was one for £121 on the 11th which i did not know about.

Only thing I used my card for on Friday was signing up to mobile me 'free' trial,

A quick search showed Apple have authorised £121 on many users accounts - not requested the funds just 'held' the money.

Bank couldn't do anything, suggested reporting it to fraud dept...
A call to applecare was useless as they pointed me to their email support, tried asking in Apple store, they gave me a number got through to someone who, after taking details and 10min on hold tells me yes, there was a mistake, but the .mac team would contact me in due course...

Another call to the bank, and finally got the money released and now have my iPhone...

Not a happy bunny with Apple though, doubt I'll be signing up to mobile me unless its substantially discounted.

As a warning check with your bank if any such transaction has gone through!!!
