Concept iPhones are like concept cars. I only care about it if it's real.

That is ****ing ridiculous. It's a phone, I don't want to have to lay it on a surface each time to use it's features.

Really dude?? They are added features. Doesn't change current functionality. If an upcoming phone had features like this - you'd complain? Wow.

I can't see how the iPhone 5 is going to be released anytime soon. I mean why would it? The 4 is still a very big cash cow for Apple, so it's going to be around for a while. Giving Apple plenty of time to develop the 5.

Also where is the official press release from them on the upcoming release? Now I know what you're probably thinking "they want to make as much money as they can on the iPhone 4 first" but seriously, they'd be building up the hype 'officialy' about the release to get people bying for one and selling it out on day 1

Again with the ultra thinness. Too bad you can't get any components into that thing. Who needs memory, battery, processor or antenna?

Why don't you go play with iPhonetoday in the sandbox you so dearly love.

Sorry to say but your reply is just plain ridiculous. Only for these two awesome features you have to lay it down, the rest you can use like you normally would.

Pfff...these kind of people, really what's your IQ man. Here you have two possibly real great features and still you are bitching about you have to put some effort in to use it.

Eventhough it's still a concept and maybe put together by software, the technologie is within reach and all of this is possible.

Please stop hating and have some appreciation for these kind of innovations man.

Completely agree. Some people are too lazy to think and enjoy complaining too much. Sad.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_2_10 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8E600 Safari/6533.18.5)

That is a awesome design, im certainly not complaining but at some point you can get too thin. I don't want to have to wiry about snapping it in half. The rest I'll gladly take.

I saw this with the Mozilla Seabird concept. It will eventually happen. Concepts from the previous decade is happening now. There is already projectors on Samsung phones. We already see how displays that are as flexible as paper. We can't be stuck with the same SLATE design forever.

Remember that newspaper tablet from 1994? Well before the iPad. Our imaginations are always ahead of current technology as seen from science fiction movies like 2001: A Space Odyssey or James Bond. The human mind's imagination is limitless that even our technology for that time will never catch up to. I remember watching Back to the Future Part II and imagining if we would have flying cars or at least that hoverboard I always wanted by 2015? The Pitbull one and not pink one Marty ended up with. 2015 is four years away and I see no hoverboards yet. Too dangerous to see flying cars after what we saw in 9/11. We won't be The Jetsons anytime soon.

Technology can get expensive. CIA probably uses expensive gadgets that mass population haven't seen it. You wait for stuff like this when manufacturers can actually bring the cost to consumer-level and if the latest "gimmick" catches on into being the next "trend."

I mean it's definitely a cool concept. But anytime a concept iPhone comes out or concept anything I like comes out I'm reminded of this quote from "500 Days of Summer".

“I think, technically, the ‘girl of my dreams’ would probably have, like, a really bodacious rack, you know? Maybe different hair, uh, she’d probably be a little more into sports, but uhm, truthfully, Robin’s better than the girl of my dreams… She’s real.”

Love that movie. Good quote... however completely irrelevant to consumer electronics like this... :/

It's completely relevant. People watch these clips and get their hope unrealistically high, and then are disappointed with the real world solutions they are offered.

Although i don't really like the concept that much..the holographic ideas are definitely the future. It's not 3D screens.
