Although i don't really like the concept that much..the holographic ideas are definitely the future. It's not 3D screens.
My sentiments exactly. Way way too thin and I HATE HATE HATE edge to edge screens. It needs a bezel.

Loving the holographic stuff. That would definitely be a cool FEATURE.

I wouldn't want it to be the only way to use the keyboard though.

I saw this with the Mozilla Seabird concept. It will eventually happen. Concepts from the previous decade is happening now. There is already projectors on Samsung phones. We already see how displays that are as flexible as paper. We can't be stuck with the same SLATE design forever.

Remember that newspaper tablet from 1994? Well before the iPad. Our imaginations are always ahead of current technology as seen from science fiction movies like 2001: A Space Odyssey or James Bond. The human mind's imagination is limitless that even our technology for that time will never catch up to. I remember watching Back to the Future Part II and imagining if we would have flying cars or at least that hoverboard I always wanted by 2015? The Pitbull one and not pink one Marty ended up with. 2015 is four years away and I see no hoverboards yet. Too dangerous to see flying cars after what we saw in 9/11. We won't be The Jetsons anytime soon.

Technology can get expensive. CIA probably uses expensive gadgets that mass population haven't seen it. You wait for stuff like this when manufacturers can actually bring the cost to consumer-level and if the latest "gimmick" catches on into being the next "trend."

If the iPhone will turn into a overly thin edge-to-edge screened shitbiscuit (which I highly doubt), iPhone 4 will be the last iPhone I'll ever use.

That thing is just plain ugly. I'm getting sick and tired with this edge-to-edge screen hyping.

hahah but that's not even what that quote means!

Let's translate this quote:

“I think, technically, the ‘girl of my dreams’ would probably have, like, a really bodacious rack, you know? Maybe different hair, uh, she’d probably be a little more into sports, but uhm, truthfully, Robin’s better than the girl of my dreams… She’s real.”

Does that make sense?

No. Because you're comparing a human that you become emotionally attached with to glass and metal that I hope you do not become emotionally attached to. We're looking at this from different perspectives, I think.

A woman that you love more than anything... will probably have some "flaws".. but you can love those flaws because you fall in love with who that person is. If your iPhone has a "flaw"... too thick, no 4G, screen is too small... you do not fall in love with them... you want something better. It's just glass and metal.

The quote is about how something real is better than something amazing but not real.

You are taking the quote as him meaning he is settling for the real girl because she is real, but he would still prefer the girl of his dreams if she became real. I take the quote as he is INTO this girl because of her. And that mere reality is better than any imagination.

I think it can be either way, honestly. And also.. I forget if that's about Summer or Autumn. Different interpertations. But I totally see where you are coming from.

This is not a great concept. It doesn't take into account that the iPhone screen is tiny, so at that distance it would be hard to read. I have never seen anyone lay the device on a table to do thing with it, it's just not the way it's meant to be used. The projected keyboard also doesn't do anything for the fact that there is no haptic feedback, which is the real reason why virtual keyboards are hard to type on.

Not to mention none of this is anything that hasn't already been seen in other phone concept demos, done better to boot.

The day to day concepts are often made in a futuristic, flashy kind of surrounding with dito background. What's so nice about this one it's just made in a simple ****** office where the product stands out and for me it does his thing.

About the keyboard, if you put sound with every click you have some feedback like the current iPhone so why shouldn't it work.

The holographic display will give a complete new dimension to Facetime especially when they can turn that into 3d.
