Looking to get some headphones for my MBP, any recommendations? I don't mind spending over $100 as long as its for a good pair.

I still use my Shure E2C's. They can be had for a little under a hundred and sound great.
Audio-Technica M50 for bass, otherwise get a pair of Sennheisers. The best would be to try them at a store before buying them to see what you like.
i've been pretty happy with my klipsche image one headphones.
they do a pretty good job of blocking out external noise, which is great for tuning out distractions at work
i'm by no means an audiophile, but they sound great to me, and they also have a mic and controls which work with my mbp and my iphone.
i was able to pick them up for $120 on sale about a month ago, i think they retail $160 normally through apple.

Well I can tell you I have a pair of Bowers and Wilkins P5s, and they are AWESOME, but not cheap. Like, $300 before tax.
They are great because they are designed for use with mobile products such a phones and laptops, and they aim to reproduce the sound as accurately as possible, rather than jack up the bass (unless you are into that, in which case you could try Monster headphones).
If you've got an Apple store near you, you can walk in and they will probably be on demo. If not, ask if they have it and ask to try them out.
If you buy used, definitely try them on and stuff beforehand. I had a friend buy a used pair, but they were stretched out by the previous owner, who I presume had a massive head.
I am using mine as studio monitors as well as for everyday use - they are that accurate. While nothing will replace a good $1000+ pair of studio monitors, the P5s do a pretty astounding job.

It all depends what you want to use them for. Just listening to music at home? A pair that you might wanna take on the go? Doing audio work? Doing audio+recording work? Etc Etc Etc....
So some info for what I'm looking for, for me I'd rather have crystal clear sound over bass....mainly for rock info. Preferable in ear, but for some reason those never fight me so well so that something to consider.
i have a pair of AKG K240 MKII. they are uh-mazing, but close to the $200-250 range. of course, it depends on what OP wants to do with them, but for me personally, investing in a pair of good headphones that will last years is a good idea.

BOSE, IMO-- stands for "Buy Other Sound Equipment". It is overpriced just like Beats by Dre. I'd rather get one from the recommendations in this thread
Ya, this is great advise. Both brands has really well thought out systems to make them fight properly in your ears so you should be able to get a good fit. And the sound quality will exceed anything you'll get from Bose, Monster or Beats for the same money.
What are you recommendations for the shure....right now I'm bewtween the shure se 215, klipsch s4i, and shure se110.
