The previous iMac had a screen size of 20'' and 24''.
The current iMac has a screen size of 21.5'' and 27''.

How big do you want the next iMac to be? Or, how big do you think it Will Be?!

I'm hoping for anything 30+ inches.

Predicting the next sizes will be 23-24'' and 30''.

What are your thoughts?

Btw, the only reason why I'd want a bigger one, is when I move out and into a Condo, I'd want my desktop to be my tv basically.

I am in doubts that they will ever build one bigger than 30" being that they made a 30" cinema display once.

i went with other...i have a late 2006 MA590xx/A thats 17"...size is fine for me,and could help apple bring the mac down to under a grand.

For me, the resolution is more important than the actual size. 32" is useless without higher res than the current 27". 32" with 3840x2400 is what I want.

There are a handful of 32-36" 4K displays. At some point, 4K will take over the current 2560x1440/1600.

21" and 27" are pretty good sizes, IMHO. They could keep the screen sizes the same, but increase the pixel density (you know, in case they ever get around to implementing resolution independence).

I think the sizes are fine as they are. I think they should actually implement resolution independence before increasing pixel density, the density is good enough for now and if it got much higher things would be too small without resolution independence.

I'd like the screen to be absent altogether, effectively a product that fits between the Mac Mini and the Mac Pro

I am currently testing out a 21.5 (considering downgrading from my 27) and I am LOVING it. Though the sweet spot would definitely be a 24...

I'm happy with the current sizes, with an older 4 probably being the "sweet spot" between them. Although i do have difficulty with the current pixel density (bad eyesight) and am looking forward to resolution independence at some point

I accidentally voted for 21.5" & 27" What I actually meant to select was 24" & 32"

However, that's only if the 32" had a lager resolution than the 27" has already. A 5" bigger display would be pointless for me if it had the same number of pixels anyway.

I just got a 24.1 and I really can't say I'd want it any bigger.

I can see the TV idea, but there are several issues with it- Macs don't play Blu-Ray and they don't have a video input either. Now these can be added, but financially it would probably make more sense to just to get a separate TV and Blu-Ray player. Were Apple to make a capable TV/Mac hybrid (no, not taking about the Mac TV here) then that would certainly change things.

I'd love it if apple bought back the 24 inch model. While the 27 inch is gorgeous it is just to big for my desk, and buying one would mean buying new furniture. Buying the 21 inch would feel like a downgrade. I'm not holding out to much hope though.

I'd also like to see higher res screen and 16:10 aspect on the imac. However, we can't currently make text bigger without change resolution.

Apple needs to make DPI (dots per inch) setting independent from screen res just like Windows, otherwise we'd have to put our noise against the screen to read anything.

I would really like to see a 30" or even a 32" in screen, I'm using an old 30" cinema display at work and I love the size.
