Just thought it would be cool to do an actual poll. What do you think Apple will announce on Tuesday? An iPhone 4S, an iPhone 5, or perhaps both?

I'm thinking we'll get...

iPhone 4S 16GB - $99

iPhone 5 16 GB - $199
iPhone 5 32GB - $299

I think we'll see an iPhone 4S and iPhone 5.

iPhone 4S
A5 Processor
512MB RAM
3.5" display
960x640 resolution
5MP camera
16GB- $99

iPhone 5
A5 Processor
1GB RAM
4" display
1280x720 resolution
8MP camera
32GB- $199 and 64GB- $299

I think it's a reasonable prediction, right?

Yes, except I doubt we'll get a 64GB and if we do, it won't be $299. Maybe iPhone 5 will come in 16, 32, and 64 GB priced a $199, $299, and $399 respectively.

Almost everything that resolution is way to much for a little 4" screen it's around 376 DPI which is not necessary

A guy can wish right? Frankly, I don't need 64GB, I'll be checking off the specs as they announce them.

Which is why I want a 4.3" screen, not 4", but I seriously doubt Apple is going in that direction. Frankly, almost all the major smartphones coming the next couple months are going HD. Vigor, Nexus, Galaxy SII LTE, just to name a few. iPhone 4 may have the best screen today, but there is no guarantee the next iPhone will have the best.

I would like a 4.3" screen as well, but only if Apple changed the aspect ratio of the phone. Android phone screens are longer and narrower (16:9 ratio), while the iPhone screen is shorter and wider (3:2 ratio). This means that if Apple continues that ratio and just diagonally extends the screen, the 4.3" one would seem ridiculously wide. If Apple switched to 16:9 (which makes a lot of sense since smartphones by design are longer than they are wide) then a 4.3" would be great.

Not to mention 16:9 is the standard for HD video.

Yup. Thing is, when I put on my tinfoil hat, I start to think Apple purposefully continues to use a non-standard aspect ratio to make it more difficult to port apps, games, etc that were written for iOS onto other platforms.

none! Apple will just talk about iPhone, like they said. They will talk about the phone and stuff. The history of the phone and why its popular and stuff. That's all it is!

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_2_6 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8E200 Safari/6533.18.5)

Why do you think that?

i doubt Apple would release 2 iPhones at one time, if anything apple would give us the iPhone 4S then a 5 next year not both at the same time, just wouldn't be the kind of business tactic apple would use

There are a lot of credible rumors for both a iPhone 4S (numerous parts) and iPhone 5 (numerous cases). I believe we will see both at Apple's up coming announcement.. here's why.

The iPhone has always been a mass market product meaning that it needs to appeal to everyone. In the past, the 3.5" screen on the iPhone was near the high end in terms of size yet it was small enough for nearly all consumers. Apple was fine leaving the screen unchanged up until now.

With the growing number of consumers demanding a 4+ inch screen thanks to the proliferation of Android smartphones Apple can't just concede this large and growing consumer base. On the other side many consumers still like the size and shape of the iPhone 4.

To prevent alienating part of their consumer base they have decided to release two iPhone's with nearly identical spec's. This will give customers the option of screen size which is a large dividing point.

My guess is this change in release was due to a somewhat late decision to go this route. It's also possible that logistically there are more parts and suppliers to coordinate which would cause this delay.

I'm 99% sure it will be an iPhone 4S. The iPhone 4 will be bumped down to 8GB and sold for $99 as usual. Apple will not release two new products. That goes against their usual release cycle. There is nothing pointing to an iPhone 5, no leaks or anything.

That said, if I am right, I will be disappointed and will likely keep my iPhone 4 another year. I am not in the market to spend $300 on a speed bump and added voice control.

LoL, have you NOT been reading, seeing, hearing about iPhone 5? I think if you believe there is "no leaks or anything" related to the iPhone 5 then you're really not paying attention. There are many references to i5 on this very web site.
Plus the new assistant feather is NOT simply "added voice control", it's an entirely new system.

I believe they will have 2 phones shown on Tuesday.

Not saying this makes it true but to say there has been nothing is just pure fantasy. Of course I didn't link any of the zillions you can find on google but you get the point.
