What is your 4g data limit? Do you use a streaming music or video service have a lot of videos photos etc
Depends on how much you need and content you download. 256 GB is a lot of memory.
Do you subscribe to any music or amazon prime video service?
Or have a large amount of videos, films, photos?
Since you didn't tell us anything about your usage we will assume the worst case scenario. I know some people that never back up their phone, they just keep up taking HD movies and photos. So you must get the 256GB.

I dont delete texts and have 58.7mb used
e-mail which I rarely delete is 733.4mb used. (iPhone 6 128GB)
Text/mms adds up fast. That's usually what eats up the most some people years of text messages
Whichever one you can afford and fits your needs. You know that better than we do.
As others have said go with what your usage/needs suggests. I always go with the higher storage because I would rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

Both offer a lot of storage capacity, but it's really quite difficult to make a recommendation without knowing your intended use.
Photos, videos, music and games can take up a lot of storage.
I would look at your current device to see how much storage you have available and how much is being used.

Another consideration is how will you be paying? I got my iPhone 7 via installment plan (hooray for the $650 trade-in offers
). For the $4 extra per month, I decided to just get the 256GB model. Better to have it and not need it than vice versa. I've always gotten by with the 32GB iPhone but when I got the 6, my usage changed (started catching up with TV shows on the iPhone and cellular data is expensive). I regretted buying just 64GB instead of 128GB.

I'm on the 64GB iPhone 6 and don't regret it at all. Although don't use my phone for media consumption other than just music.

Yes, 64 GB will be plenty for many people who don't use their phone for media. 128 GB will be perfect for most needs, including media. And 256 GB is good for those with tons of media who prefer it to live on the phone rather than in the cloud.
