I picked up a 128GB iPad Pro 9.7 at Costco about a week ago, well within Costco's return window. Today, Best Buy put all their 10.5's on sale for $100 off. So what would you do in my situation? Refund your 128GB iPad Pro 9.7 and spend $50 more for a 64GB iPad Pro 10.5? Or just stick with the iPad Pro 9.7 because, you know, it's still a great iPad and has twice the RAM the 10.5 would have? FYI: All I use my iPad for is media consumption and writing, pretty much nothing else. Love to hear some opinions on this purchasing dilemma brewing in my head. Thanks!

iPad Pro 9.7in (2016): A9X with 64bit architecture and M9 motion co-processor and has 2GB of RAM.

iPad Pro 10.5in (2017): A10X Fusion with 64bit architecture and M10 motion co-processor and has 4GB of RAM.

So I would definitely go for 10.5 inch!

Absolutely 100% go for the 10.5”. It’s leaps and bounds better than the 9.7” IMHO.
This. I tried out the 9.7" without promotion right after using the 10.5", and I actually thought the 9.7" was majorly lagging at first, and then I realized that was just the result of having the lower refresh rate.

I'm also going to weigh in and recommend the 10.5 inch. It's a much more powerful device with more memory and even if it wasn't the screen would be worth the additional $50.

I agree with the others. Get the 10.5. I have the series 1, 12.9, and everything I have read about the 10.5 is that it's a beastly

For your large media, streaming (and some temp download) is very common nowadays (Spotify, Apple Music, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video), and just in case, do your iPad and yourself a favor and get a 50GB iCloud subscription for .99/month, so your photo storage gets managed automatically.

You won't regret it: iPad Pro 10.5" is a superb machine, and with iOS 11, will blow your socks off.
